Let me start out by saying I had usually had good luck with this store. I bought a nice Stihl chainsaw from them. It came with a 1 year warranty and if you bought the Stihl oil, it doubled the warranty to 2 years, which I did. After a couple of months I finally had a need to use it. It would not start. Removed the spark plug and cleaned it twice to no avail. Called to verify it was still covered under the warranty. The girl told me it was. I dropped it off. Waited two days and called. I was told there was nobody there that knew anything and they would call me back. I called the next day and was told it had been ready the same day I dropped it off. Went to pick it up. The young man that worked on it told me it was flooded and brought it outside to show me it would start. Apparently, there is a trick to starting a Stihl chainsaw and showing me this trick is not covered under the warranty. Cost $20 + change. Pretty sorry after buying a $700+ saw from them. I had a buddy that bought one from the other Stihl dealer in Orange and he had the same issue. They showed him the trick for free. Not saying I won't go back, but it won't be anytime soon.

Just went into Child's Ace hardware store here in Orange Texas and I was just appalled at the service I didn't get. I walked in and saw four different employees. The young lady at the register was busy helping someone else and really didn't acknowledge that I walked in the store. I walked to the back thinking I could get assistance. The first person that I saw coming toward me I asked can you help me. I never did get her full attention as I think she was distracted by a young man that was in the store. I tried showing her a picture of the part that I was looking for and she barely looked at it. She asked me a question and I handed her my phone so she could see it again and we went toward the side to look for my part. She was still distracted by whoever it was she was distracted by earlier. She pretty much just walked off away from me when we decided they did not have the part. Did not even attempt to see if they could order it for me or maybe look at another location for me. I think for this reason I will go back to MD supply in Mauriceville or Vidor. Was going to give one star but giving a two-star because she at least took me to the section it might be found. Very disappointing.

I brought my scag here to get repairs done and I've got to say they met my expectations and exceeded them. Not only did they fix it way faster than the usual scag dealer I have taken it to but waited on me a few minutes after they had closed to let me pay and get my mower when the other place has told me if your not here at close time then it's too late. I am very glad I was told about this place and you can bet I will bring my business here and if you have a scag you need to come here instead of Beaumont!

Made a order online for curbside pickup because the website said the item was in stock and available that day. Called to find out a estimated pick up time and was told that they had to cancel my order because it was not in stock. When I asked the girl who's name started with a "R" when I could expect the money to be returned to my card she said she didn't know and made it clear that there was nothing she could do. I then asked to speak to her manager (not to complain) just to get answers that she already stated she couldn't provide. A short time later "R" came back on the phone and said the manager said to go call customer service. I could not find a customer service number on the email and the website is super slow to load so I asked to speak to the manager AGAIN. The manager finally came on the line a bit huffy and puffy and gave me the number. I made sure that she knew I didn't blame them for the mix up, but if it was THEIR $200 they would want to know when they could expect it back.Bad attitudes.I called the number and got the cancel confirmed. Was informed the money would be back on my card in 24hrs.24hrs later I called back to find out where my money was. I was then informed it would take 7-10 business days.I was willing to drive around 40mi. to pick this product up as I have been a 30+yrs ACE customer... But between the attitudes of the employees at Child's, and the uncertainty of how to answer a question that I know I'm not the 1st to ask management & customer service I will never shop at another ACE affiliate again.Utterly ridiculous. Buyers beware(even online).
