I've been going to the Viking Festivals every year since December 2019, I've had the opportunity to see it grow in size and attendance. More than Sherwood, I love this festival. The site, the camp grounds, the people, all make this feel like a true experience. This past Yule Festival truly gave a communal sensation. For those interested in the Norse culture, this is a great way to be introduced into the lifestyle. The hosts, vendors, and performers are amazing every year!

We camped here and got to enjoy the wonderful experience of the Viking Festival!! Truly an epic time. Small, authentic, reasonably priced, and just absolutely pleasant to my soul.

This is a wonderful place! Great horse back riding, awesome event venue, and home to The Texas Viking Festival which is an experience in itself that everyone should check out!!

I enjoyed my experience over all.I would recommend that they make sure that what FB says is mimicked on their ticket site. ?There was some confusion on where to find information and required digging to unearth amongst forums. ?Beyond that though, while a lil gruff so early in the morning, they adapted readily and made sure we all had fun!

Important stuff first: this particular area of Texas hits the jackpot on awful local fauna. The sticker weeds...omg seriously. You can’t take more than a few steps and the cuffs of your pants and the soles of your shoes are encrusted with stickers. No ordinary stickers, mind you, but some unholy compound of adamantium and diamonds, dipped in skin irritant. Bringing a dog here without paw booties would be cruel indeed. Second, this is central Texas so there’s poison ivy in shaded areas. Remember, for some more sensitive people, simply stepping in poison ivy will cause oil to be transferred from your shoes to your hands...even hours later. Be especially vigilant when using Porto potties onsite. Wash hands with sanitizer before using restroom just in case some poison ivy oil is on your fingers! And finally there are also cacti onsite. Be wary of tall grass. Wear TOUGH closed toe boots while onsite. But other than all that....it’s a lovely piece of land. Charming folks onsite.
