About BARC, Anderson County Humane Society
BARC The Humane Society is one of Anderson County's hardest working organizations. They work tirelessly to save animals, dealing with a huge problem of dumped, abandoned, and abused animals. They are in the trenches doing what they can to save, rehabilitate, and rehome as many fur babies as possible. The facility is very clean and they have wonderful adoptable pets. People are very nice and helpful. They assist with adoptions and reuniting pets with their owners, including providing microchips. They are a nonprofit organization making a difference in the community and are good stewards of the resources they manage. Many recommend adopting from the facility and encourage support through donations, as their work is desperately needed.

All the staff is very friendly to we humans as well as to the animals they serve. They are professional and their facility is clean. Thank you to the staff, including volunteers!, that do so much in such a great way.

They are awesome... free food 12 -1 and it's usually stocked... awesome with animals, my dog did not make a sound when they gave her a shot, and it's always clean and inviting

Very friendly people. They were able to give me a bag of cat food for the stray cats.
