“I cant say enough good things about the Redlands. If you enjoy history, atmosphere, food and people this is a must on your list. The owners and staff are passionate about what they do and you can feel it throughout. Audrey in the bar makes the best long Island tea and smoked old fashioned. Jean the owner is so knowledgeable about not only the hotel but the entire area and cares about her community. We will definitely be back.

Nearby activities: Very walkable town, friendly

Food and drinks: Excellent restaurant and bar. Amazing staff.”

“A charming weekend fishing. Wonderful hospitality in a beautiful, relaxing, and fishy setting. It’s a rare glimpse into late 20th charm; a place out of time and just right.”

“While basic lodging, the room was clean and sufficient for our needs. The VERY best part of our stay was the friendly and welcoming reception we received from the staff!”

“This is an older hotel away from the rest of the town hotels. Although sort of off by itself, it seemed to be in a safe area. Check in was quick and easy. The hotel was about 1/2 full. Some work trucks belonging to customers were parked in the fire lane which made me feel a little less safe that I would have felt had they parked where they were supposed to so that fire and rescue could get to the building unobstructed. The room was clean although I absolutely would not sit on the fabric love seat in the room....it had a stain that looked a lot like the upright body of a person. The bathroom smelled faintly of cleaning solution and was very clean. The towels were stiff but clean. I liked the new art on the walls. The sheets on the bed were in desperate need of replacing as there were literal holes in the fitted sheet and the top sheet was threadbare. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water and AC. The hotel was also quiet until around 5am when workers left for the job site and slammed the heavy doors. Then it was quiet again. The restaurant in front was cute and the staff was friendly. We would stay again if coming through town.”

“Not the greatest location but this is the best budget motel. Reasonably priced. The free breakfast is better than you think. Amenities offered here are way more than you'd get at a regular motel. The guests are a bit rowdy but the staff is pretty nice and on top of things here. There's a laundry room, a fitness room, and a computer in the lobby to use. Also vending, ice, and ATM machines. Bathrooms in the lobby as well. Rooms are decent-sized. Could use another chair but there's a fridge and microwave in every room. I think only dogs are allowed (max 2) and they charge $20/night. But that's fair considering everything else about this motel is beyond others for a budget-friendly price.”
