My husband travels for work and was 4.5 hours into his 6-hour drive when his tire ended up with a screw in it. Luckily he pulled into a gas station right next to Matten Tire & Auto. He called to see if they would be able to come to help him get the tire off and fixed. Chris M and Tommy both took excellent care of my husband and got him back on the road within an hour. They didn't try to take advantage of the desperate situation he was in and try to make him buy a whole new tire. The were completely honest and upfront. Very refreshing considering how often businesses try to upsell. Highly recommend!!!

I had to transport my vehicle to a specialist in California from Texas.This master mechanic supplied evidence of their negligent work and my receipts attest to what I paid to repair their damage.Their Insurance company has until the 11th of October to refund my costs as the insurance appraiser ruled for me based on the aggregious threat to my life safety based on the negligent work performed here.As of this writing I know that what I first believed was negligence was actually malice .They did not perform work that they said that they would.The work they did do .. Place rotors on backwards etc. The misdiagnosis that I originally thought was to make money off of a higher priced service Manifold which I did not need and Water Pump that I did need actually need and ignoring things that could have killed me on the road I NOW know were done purposefully and that there are several others in Palestine whose vehicle has been damaged by Matterns Tire and Auto.They have until the 11th of October to pay the insurance claim for what I spent there.If they do not contact me by the 11th this yelp review will serve as my attempt to make sure that they don't do this to anyone else.If you have been damaged by Matterns Tire in Palestine Texas please write me at POB 126 Tennessee Colony Texas 75861

The dissonance of individual experiences is real.I called and confirmed if they had one zr17 tire, which is what I needed. Drove there with the spare tire on, and my car was ready in 30 min; drove an additional 300 miles and everything is just fine.

They are not honest. Horrible service. Terrible tires. Wanted Yokahoma tires and they swore to life none where being made. Paid over $1200 for tires they suggested, next day had a flat 300 miles from home. It had to do with the valve stem. Was not reimbursed and after 1 tire rotation found out the tires where bad.
