If you have a classic VW and you're in the DFW area, this is the place to go!!
I swear I can't make this stuff up. I was in yesterday afternoon to buy door handle seals for my Bug because I was going to replace the door handles. I went out to the parking lot after making my purchase, and when I unlocked my driver-side door (the only door I could unlock), the lock tumbler came out with the key and you could hear a piece drop into the door! Of course, the button wouldn't open the door, so I had no way to get into the car. I went inside and told them what happened and Kelly came right out and was able to get my door open for me in no time with his expertise! Talk about being at the right place at the right time!!
Not only are these great people with a wealth of knowledge, but they do excellent work! They recently did a lot of mechanical and interior work on my newly-acquired Bug and it was like a whole new car when I got it back! It runs and drives SO MUCH better!! And the interior items were PERFECT. I fell in love with the car all over again.
There aren't a lot of places that work on these old cars anymore and we're so lucky to have a treasure like this right in our backyard. I wouldn't take my Bug anywhere else, and if you're reading this, I hope you'll check them out!

I rebuilt my 1600 dual port, these guys had everything thing I needed. If I got stumped on something I would call them and they would answer any questions I had, I called several times and always super helpful and friendly. Even with it being a Saturday they were great.

Just got my engine back, and, wow, I'm in awe of the quality of work that they did for my engine. I also can't begin to explain how friendly and communicative they were throughout the whole process. The work did take a bit longer than expected, but for the quality I got, it was well worth the wait. Bugstop definitely nailed it on this one!

Nice fellows, good selection of parts, good VW knowledge, and good solid service work.This is a traditional, locally owned VM repair shop. They do good service work, but don't be in a hurry, and have some patience.

Took my bus in for a transmission leakWhen they had the engine out, they asked if I wanted to do some work to the motor which I agreedMonth and a half later I picked up the bus and then 16 miles I blew the bearings.They wanted me to tell it in, but I insisted that they do it which they didThey then told me that I had a crack block and needed more work done.After all that work, I still have a leak from the transmission.I now have a new mechanic and when he pulled the motor to fix the transmission leak, he noticed that the fly wheel has busted teeth and so does the starterI also had break work done at the bug shopAnd the new mechanic noticed that the bearings are bad in each rear wheel.I spent $3000 with the Bug shopWant a waste of money!!!!!!
