venture capital groups are buying out all oil change locations. which, also increases the price. than they offer discounts certain groups of people, even with the discounts, these chain venture funder oil change shops are still more expensive than the locally owned shops.
from what i can tell, inside the paris texas loop, this may be the only locally owned oil change shop.

“I can’t say enough good things about Roadrunner Tires in Paris, Texas. I brought my brand-new Ford F-150 straight to them for new wheels, tires, and a leveling kit, and they took incredible care of both me and the truck.
Mike, the owner, went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right. He took the time to explain options, made sure the setup was exactly what I wanted, and treated my truck like it was his own. The work was clean, professional, and done with attention to detail you don’t see everywhere anymore.

“If you're in the market for a vehicle I highly recommend Paris Chevrolet GMC ask for Sebastian! This was the easiest, most stress free experience of either of our lives. I was never treated with anything but 100% respect from all the staff and they knew what I wanted to look at (used) but it was never suggested I consider something brand new. Being female I've had to deal with chauvinism from car dealers since I've been driving. We will not shop anywhere else now. They have exceeded my expectations. AND we got a goody box in the mail this morning. Thank you Paris Chevrolet GMC!”

“Excellent experience. We had spark plugs replaced in a 2007 Ford F-150 with a 5.4 3-valve Triton engine which are notorious for their horrible design. We were able to replace three of the spark plugs ourselves with five broken off and needing to be drilled out in order to be extracted. We dropped the truck off on a Wednesday before Labor Day weekend and the job was completed by Tuesday of the following week. Fairprice. Exceptional service. Will definitely use them again and recommend to others.”

“We were on a trip from Nevada to Florida when our car started to act up. I called Ronnie who told me to bring it right in. He determined that the mass air flow sensor needed to be replaced (which I had just done before leaving on my trip). Ronnie was able to replace the $220 part under warranty and get me a new one for free. The labor he charged was more then reasonable and cheaper then I expected. He had us back on the road within 2 hours. Ronnie and his beautiful wife Sherri put us at ease and we knew we were in good hands.. Thanks again Ronnie / Sherri for helping us. It was a pleasure meeting you both.”
