We stopped in for lunch passing through town. We had such a great experience here thanks to our waitress, Kayla. She was super friendly from the moment we sat down and made us feel really welcome. She checked on us often without ever being overbearing, and our drinks were always full. Kayla gave great menu suggestions too, and everything came out just the way we ordered. We will definitely be asking for her next time we come through.

I recently ate at this restaurant traveling through Paris. It was some good home cooked food and the service was excellent! I will definitely go back next time I'm in Paris.

We ate here on Wednesday. From our table in the dining area, we could hear a man (I’m assuming the cook) yelling at a server calling her all kinds of vulgar & derogatory names. Whenever we left, we asked the woman at the front what happened and she said that the cook forgot to cook a salmon for a large party. We asked her if the man was fired or sent home, but they said that he wasn’t- that he was still working. I will not eat somewhere that supports this kind of hateful behavior towards women (or any other person) and neither should you.

Ate at Magel on 10/24/25 there was a lady who had 2 kids and a baby , we could see them they were fine a waitress asked to hold the baby the mom said fine then another waitress asked the mom her name she told her the next thing the police came took the mom outside a pointed police officer ask the kids questions the mom was not detained but she came back in mad. I heard the second waitress say the manager called the police we couldn't not see what her or her kids had done and the police did not take her I will not go back and will tell my friends about this that manager ruined good night for many of us

Incredibly bad service, embarrassing management. Food has gone down hill, cannot say enough about the horrible treatment by the staff/ management. Definitely earned free advertisement for life. DO NOT recommend wasting a meal here.

Vegetable soup & rolls were old fashioned delicious! Sampler appetizer, roast beef & chicken fried steak (thick or thinly breaded) dinners were so good, we should have ordered 2 extra to take home. We plan on going back to Magels Grill every time we travel to Paris. Service was A+. Complements to the Chef!

Daughter and son in law ate her Friday , 10-17 and was served raw chicken , when my daughter told the waitress she didn’t touch hers she said it was just dark spots and they still paid . Within 30 minutes of leaving my son in law became very very sick , vomiting non stop and had to leave work and lose money . I hope they hire more professional staff and better cooks as well !!! The owner is suppose to “ take” care of them, but have not heard anything !

Groups beware - Very disappointing experience here for an event dinner in the reserved back room (40ish). The restaurant decided two servers would be enough (who were as helpful as possible). No one else working seemed to want to help them even refill waters or clean tables. Embarrassing service.
We waited over 45 minutes for drinks, and ordering was moving along at a sluggish pace. The management here seems quite incompetent and don’t support their staff. Would NOT recommend for anything important.

My husband and I went there recently and ate for the first time. He ordered the chopped steak and I ordered the grilled chicken with mushrooms. He said he would give his food a solid four 4️⃣. He said his chopped steak was perfectly done, the macaroni and cheese had great flavor, and the brown gravy was delightful. I ordered the grilled chicken with mushrooms and I sent it back ak most immediately. I did not like the seasoning on it at all, and asked for some without seasoning and so for me, that was much better. I would give mine a three 3️⃣ at the most, but the cream gravy I would give a five 5️⃣. I’m really pretty picky about my cream gravy, I grew up on it, and their’s really tasted good.
My husband said he would like to try Magel’s again and so we hope our next meal is flavorfully delicious!
