Prime Thrift is a for-profit thrift store operation that provides funding for American Veterans (AMVETS), Disabled American Veterans (DAV), as well as local law enforcement, emergency services, medical facilities, and organizations dedicated to empowering the disadvantaged. Each location of the Prime Thrift family wishes to be an unwavering source of everyday support in their respective communities and a reliable aid in times of crisis.
The store offers a wide variety of secondhand articles, including clothing, kitchenware, and furniture, at reasonable prices. Customers can take advantage of color-coded tag sales and discounts for educators and students. The store is known for being well-organized and clean, with a good selection of items.
However, some customers have expressed concerns about the pricing of certain high-value items, which they feel are overpriced compared to other thrift stores or even new retail stores. Despite this, many customers appreciate the store's efforts to support various community organizations and are grateful for the care and attention the staff provides, as evidenced by the successful resolution of a lost item incident.
Overall, Prime Thrift Alamo aims to be more than just a thrift store, striving to be a reliable and supportive presence in the local community.
