Carter's Country is Texas’ oldest & largest gun dealer with four Houston stores and the biggest online inventory in the Southwest. The store has a wide selection of firearms and ammo at reasonable prices. Staff is very accommodating and friendly, always knowledgeable, and they always have a great selection. They offer gunsmith service that is top notch, and new buyers can walk in, be walked through selections, and get a speedy and simple process to obtain a firearm. The weapons are at fair price and the staff is respectful and nice. They feel at home, learn a lot, and trust the store for serious purchases.
My AR15 would misfire. Leaving a dent on the primer. Steve diagnosed the problem. Replaced the hammer spring. He showed me the old spring which was now defective. I’m very pleased with the service and can get back to defending my land from hogs.

On this trip, I was doing a transfer from here in TX to of all places, NYC! Had some issues with the receiving FFL dealer, but the good folks at Carter's handled everything professionally and worked it out. The online transfer agent was great and the store personnel helpful and kind.

Joseph in Pasadena is a great employee, very knowledgeable and professional. I inherited an AR 15 and when I took it apart to clean, pieces started falling out of it. I took it in and Joseph took it back immediately and had it all put back together in less than 10 minutes. Great service as always. Will be back.
