Do NOT rent with Public Storage! I rented a storage unit with them for ONE MONTH. I was told several times by one of their employees that as long as I was out by a specific date I wouldn't be charged for an additional month. I made sure to be out exactly at a month, which was shorter than the time frame given to me. Some time passed and I received a bill. I called and asked why I was receiving this bill, since I had been told that I would not be charged. The person I spoke to on the phone agreed that this was a mistake on their end and that it would be taken care of, they even told me to ignore any future emails. I received another bill, same amount, so I called and AGAIN I was told it would be taken care of and was an error. It was during this call that the employee told me that the first employee I dealt with gave me incorrect information but they still agreed that I was out on time and should not have been charged. One more time I received a bill and one more time I called asking for clarification and again I was told the same thing. This time I was told they would reach out to the store's manager and that I would hear back from them in a couple days. I never got a call back from PS. I stopped receiving bills at this point so I assumed that maybe it was finally taken care of. Wrong. I started instead receiving mail/calls from a debt collectors company. They sent my account into collections. Now my credit is being affected because of their errors. I was told MULTIPLE times I was not at fault and that it would be taken care of. I also spoke with customer service. It was at this time that I was finally told what the charge actually was for - they claimed I was a single day over my month. It is not my fault nor my problem that THEIR employees told me information incorrectly. If someone had told me from the beginning correct information then I would have made sure I was out by the day prior. But instead I was told I was in the clear. I asked to speak to the store's manager and the person in customer service argued with me and told me there was nobody else I could speak to. I called the store again and asked to speak to the manager, I was transferred to a different number, I left a voicemail with this manager. The next day I finally got my first call back from PS but turns out whoever transferred me sent me to a manager in FLORIDA! That manager was kind and agreed with me that none of this was my fault but that she couldn't help because she was in Florida. I called the store AGAIN and finally got ahold of somebody. That somebody was Laura, after explaining everything she was able to take care of this bill and my account was back to $0 owed. She seems to be the only person who has any knowledge of the company that I've dealt with. She told me it would take approximately 30 days for the debt collectors to be on the same page. I keep getting calls from these debt collectors (cedars biz) and I have provided them with screenshots showing my account balance is $0 owed. I have submitted disputes 3 times with them and they still are calling me and demanding money. Money I do not owe! At this point it is not about the money but the principle. I am being punished by my credit being affected and being called by debt collectors over a $92 bill that I DO NOT OWE! And all because PS's own people messed up. It is not my fault that YOUR people gave incorrect information. I did everything I was supposed to and I communicated along the way. I have asked numerous times to speak to a manager and have never once been given a call back from a manager. I wouldn't recommend PS to my worst enemy. The lack of accountability and communication is clear.
UPDATE: PS called and asked me to take my review down. I asked for proof to provide the debt collectors and was told I would, "get an email in 15-20 min". No email has come. Since this review is the only way to get a response, I will offer to take it down if the major credit bureaus are contacted and the hit against my credit is fixed or n

This place is a joke.. They raise the price on the storage unit without no notice and the lady that works there never answers the damn phone nor calls you back regardless if you leave a message..Bad business goes else where trust me..

I’ve had a storage unit here for years. I’ve never had a problem & the staff is always polite and helpful. Krista is absolutely amazing. Anytime I have any questions or issues she is on it.
