This Costco location is solid! They scan your membership card right at the entrance, and at checkout.
Inside, it’s the usual Costco magic – huge selection of everything you could need, from groceries to clothes to electronics. It’s perfect for weekly shopping, especially if you’re stocking up for a family or just like having things in bulk.
I’ve even bought major appliances here and had a great experience – good prices, smooth process, and solid customer service.
Definitely one of those places where you walk in for “just a few things” and end up in their food court right after.

This location has no clue what each other is doing. Aisles are dirty, cashiers are rude and lack common sense.

Went in to Costco for a simple price match and the first two employees I interacted with were so professional. However, a manager or supervisor… I believe Priscilla was her name, came into the conversation with so much attitude and disregard for our loyalty to Costco. I had proof of purchase, the two different prices clearly documented and the floor price sign was missing on their part, after wasting an hour of our time, she chalked all of that up to, “you can return the item instead of getting the price matched”. A very lazy employee indeed. Glad we are switching to Sam’s club next month.

I can’t say anything too bad about this place besides it’s always crowded. They have delicious pizza, always in stock with items I need. Almost 99% of time there’s a long checkout line. Parking lot always packed but good amount of parking. The customer service desk always has a line and long wait time.

Long-Time Member Disappointed by Recent Pearland Costco Experience!
As dedicated Costco members for many years, and frequent shoppers at the Pearland location, we were unfortunately quite disappointed by our experience during a recent visit. While most interactions have been positive, this particular occasion highlighted concerns regarding staff conduct and membership policy clarity.
The visit began pleasantly, with a kind gesture from another shopper in the checkout line and an agreeable initial chat with an Assistant Store Manager (ASM) who was assisting. However, the interaction with the cashier significantly soured our experience. Her demeanor and tone struck us as unwelcoming. When I presented my membership card, her instruction to turn it was abrupt.
The primary issue arose during payment. My wife, who is on my executive membership account, intended to pay but did not have her physical card with her. The cashier's reaction to this situation felt, from our perspective, unnecessarily stern, and her manner of speaking made us feel as though we were being treated with suspicion. The ASM intervened and thankfully allowed the transaction, subsequently explaining Costco's policy that the payment card name must match the membership card. While we appreciated his explanation, the cashier continued to assert her position during this discussion.
Our attempt to seek resolution by speaking with customer service, and subsequently the store manager, did not alleviate our concerns. We felt the response lacked the level of customer service we would expect, especially considering our $150 annual executive membership fee.
It appears Costco's policy—requiring the name on the payment method to match the name on the membership card—can cause confusion and lead to uncomfortable situations for members, particularly when a spouse or household member on the same account attempts to pay. This can result in checkout difficulties and, as in our case, a less than satisfactory shopping experience.
We hope Costco considers refining its employee training on customer interaction and explores ways to manage membership policies with greater clarity and flexibility for established household accounts. Our loyalty to Costco has been strong, but this recent visit was disheartening. We will not be shopping here at that location any longer and possibly may cancel my Costco membership.
