Went to five and below today to do some shopping; especially since they remodeled the store. I was going to self check-out to scan out my items when one of the employees (Asian girl wearing a face mask) started checking out my items at the self checkout station I was at. I felt singled out and I never asked for her help. There were other customers who were scanning their items and she didn’t approach them. But no she approached the “black girl”; and started scanning my items one by one as if I was going to shoplift. It made me feel very uncomfortable, because other customers are scanning their items themselves, but I have an employee who probably thought I was trying to steal items scan mine out. Then when I left she went back to stocking items. Never had an experience like this anywhere not even Walmart.

Jo the manager is awesome! Goes above and beyond for the customers! I love the new set up too, hadnt come in here in months and was surprised soon as I walked in. Neat, clean store

I would highly recommend this place.
I always come here for my puppies things because Petco and pets-mart are too expensive. I also come here for my insense sticks instead of Amazon. I give this place 5 stars.

At 2:00 -2:30 pm (06/26/2024)The staff looked rude, lazy, disrespectful,had an unpleasant look on their faces, didn't smile, didn't say hello, or didn't thank me after I paid, making me not feel happy with what I bought. That's basic communication. when you are the cashier.

My son loves 5 below. We usually try to switch stores (Silverlake and this location). This store seems more welcoming when you walk in. I prefer this location. Clean store .

Usually nice and clean. Service is usually great but the cashier today was very rude, she didn’t say much but you can see the look she had and slammed something back after I walked off. She also cancelled the survey on the card machine which is why I’m leaving this review.
