Hometown Bank of Pearland is extremely professional and knowledgeable. They were able to answer all of my questions with no issues. I have been Banking with HomeTown for a long time and I rarely have issues. I would recommend this bank to my closest friends and family. Well done.

I will be closing my account today. In February HomeTown started charging me $5 / month "Net Charge" - it reminds me of the shady moves Wells Fargo pulled. I NEVER approved the charge and when I called they were willing to switch me back to a similar free account and refund the money they had taken. They said they had sent me letters letting me know what they were doing and it was totally legal - never saw the letters and unfortunately legal and shady are not mutually exclusive. So why are you giving them a 1 star review? I am glad you asked voice in my head - For two reasons 1- because I hope that this will stop someone who doesn't balance their checkbook monthly as I do from getting robbed by an institution they are trusting with their hard earned money. I find the practice of charging people for bogus services without their consent pathetic. 2 - they had a product available that would not have charged me monthly but chose to move me to something that, in their minds, made it OK to take $5 of mine a month. I certainly don't want institutions like this in my "HomeTown" like what I did there?
