Roller set/I went in for just a trim, Sade talked me in to getting more. She did not seem to be to sure of silk press and offered roller set. I have long hair and she did it with small rollers. She did not comb me out because she said that it would cost more. That’s insane. To add insult to injury, I told her I have to go home and get under dryer, she just oh it’s not dry. Never offered to complete service. Unbelievable. I will share this on every salon site. I’ve never experienced anything like this.

Ms. E at JCPenney Salon in Pearland was very knowledgeable about my hair. I comb out my locs and she knew just what I needed for my hair. It’s hard to find people to work with my texture of hair and she was fantastic. She took good care of my hair and scalp. I felt so relax. She treated, trim and two strand twist my hair. Thanks I appreciate her.

I went in for a silk press, but unfortunately when I got home my hair was really poofy so I’ll have to redo it myself at home.

JCPenney Salon Pearland has the best service. Keisha and Ms. E has done my hair and as a natural girlie they both are the bomb.com. Keisha and Ms. E are very professional. And they run the salon like an old-school auntie. Though I have not received services from Jean, I have observed her professional demeanor and knowledge on hair. Now if you want a professional experience ask for the three mentioned stylist. Also I highly suggest that you visit the salon before booking an appointment online to guarantee that what you are asking for that the stylist will be able to perform those services. I can tell you that Keisha, Ms E and Jean will never disappoint and they will educate you on what's best for your hair texture.
Also keep in mind going to a hair salon is like going to the nail salon and other cosmetic service every person have a strong suit and trial and error will lead you to the stylist for you. For the most part, the majority of the ladies in the salon are professional. Remember there are bad apples everywhere you go but those bad apples will not ruin the entire batch.

Scheduled an appointment for my daughter to be seen on 9/27/24 with Carmen at the JCPenney Salon in Pearland. I received a call at least two hours prior to the scheduled appointment asking if my daughter could come later due to another client arriving late to the appointment. I told Carmen my daughter needed to be seen at the time of the appointment because she has an event to go to, but she requested again for her to come in an hour after the scheduled appointment. When I refused her request again, Carmen said, "I'll figure something out." Carmen called me at 2:50 asking if my daughter was coming and I told her no because she was not going to be seen on time, which Carmen stated she was; however, I reminded her about the conversation from earlier when she requested if my daughter could be seen an hour after her scheduled appointment. I do not recommend JCPenney Salon Pearland to anyone. The one star is for JCPenney Pearland, but I wish it was zero stars.

Gratitude for Ms. E (Yvonne). She listened to my needs and asked questions to understand. The outcome was perfect for me. I appreciate her professionalism, authenticity and hair cutting/styling skills.
Hair type: Kinky curly with a light texturizer to wear straight to combat humidity.
Stylist: Excellent listening and application of desired outcome.

The worse salon experience of my life. I took my 8 yo daughter in for her first salon experience and walked out with tears. I asked for 4in off and left with about 7 in cut off. The stylist was uninviting from the get-go. She came in yawning with her purse and jacket on as if she just woke up for her 1:30pm appointment.
She roughly shampooed her hair with her purse still on her crossbody while conversing with her co-worker about how she kicked her man out of her house etc. Mind you my daughter is 8.
I asked for 4 inches of length to be cut and add in long layers. She started with pulling the entire head of hair up vertically and cut the layers then additionally cut more length off while it layed flat on her back and cut all the hair at once without sectioning and I said that is enough on the length. I asked her What are you doing, why are you NOT sectioning it after she made the comment " Her hair is so thick" and she just cuts it with a ridiculous method stating she does not need to follow the guidelines of sectioning and clipping because she is a master stylist and she has been doing this for 26 years. My daughter left looking like she had night out of partying with her hair uneven and and brushed back, I assume trying to hid the obvious shotty job. It honestly looked like she did not know how to cut hair and this was like play time cutting Barbie hair.
In the end, another stylist kindly "fixed it" the best she could as she could see I was visibly upset and in disbelief. I left my name and number for a manager to call me. I made the appointment with Zulema for reference but can not confirm as she never introduced herself and I forgot to ask for her name.
*****Picture for reference in regards to the 4 in I asked for and how much was cut, and all the different lengths that show the random chopping with no technique.

Worst experience ever! Walked in for a silk press and Sadie assisted me very nice lady, but could learn more on how to do a silky press the right way.

The stylist I hade last time no longer works here so I had to make a decision to use a different stylist. Based on the prices, I went with a Master Stylist because I wanted to make sure they cut my hair accordingly and not too much. At first I was going to get my hair flat ironed which I hadnt had in a long time, but I knew it wouldnt last so I opted to get one single braid around the crown of my head. Services were going fine until the cutting came. I dont claim to know much about hair but isnt it better to cut the hair when its blown out- especially when youre hair is curly??? Welp I found out thay little bit that stylist showed me was a hoax. She got scissor happy on my head. When I washed my hair the next day ( yes the next day because the style was crap full of gel) I went from shoulder length curley hair to a small fro! and the "style" the best braider was yanking my hair trying to do the blowout so she could braid my hair. She used so much gel remanats of it just sat on top of my hair the next day like somebody snotted on my head. The braid made head look big and just made my edges and front hair look worse. The sleek edges were sprayed wigh hairspray to stay. Honestly yall- Murphy's law was in full effect on my visit. Everything that could go wrong did but thats okay this was my last time dealing with stylist trying to figure out what to do to my hair and trusting them to be professionals and honest professionals at that because the prices I saw online for the services I booked were inflated when I checked out. A $45 haircut for just chopping my hair off?! I could have went to a barber and paid way less. Overpriced and full of unskilled THIEVES! Go anywhere but here!

Yesica Brenda and Ana are the most unprofessional customer service representative I've ever encountered. All clerks including superviors laughed. I hope no other customers encountered this horrible experience. I was standing in between columns with no signage assuming I would be next in line at the register on the right since there was already people on register at the left. Instead Ana rudely asked if there is something she could help me with while calling for another customer. I didn't appreciate the laughs or embrassment from them at all. Please know when people are expecting customer service it does not evolve embarrassing.
