This is my least favorite grocery store in Pearland. They never have enough people to help check customers out. They rely on self checkout, which would be ok if they had an up to date self checkout area. They have an antiquated self checkout area that does not have a rotating bag area (lazy Susan style) which makes it very difficult to bag groceries when you have a full cart. I find that they are frequently out of stock of items that I find easily at other grocery stores.
It’s not horrible, but it’s definitely not great.

Terrible experience even single time I attempt calling for an item!!!!!!
Here is a screenshot of how many times I contacted the store this afternoon. The same woman answers the phone and places me on an immediate hold. I have repeatedly told her that the department she keeps transferring me to cycles me back to her due to them not answering. After 40 minutes of calling back and being on extremely long hold times (5-10min +) I asked to speak to manager. The SAME woman answers the phone and guess what- we were placed back on a 10+ minute hold and still no one returns to the phone. I am highly disappointed since we are longtime shoppers at Kroger. This is totally unacceptable

Xavier and Stephen are great basket attendants, got out of the Uber parking lot, very clean. No grocery baskets are trash in parkinglot. If you're in the Pearland area please come and shop here very safe and clean.

I used curbside today. I asked the lady was everything there. She said yes. I get home and I am missing three things. So what did she verify that my order was complete. She didn't. So I called and she answered. I explained. She said my cold items were still in the fridge. What a waste of time. Now I have to go back to the store . Shadow Creek Kroger sucks.

I ordered 48 pieces of fried chicken 2 weeks in advance , I called a week later and they told me that I couldn't add anything else to it because they need 2 hours to fry 48 pieces. I ended up canceling my order. I will not be back to this ShadowCreek location ever again. The man I talked to over the phone was VERY RUDE as well.

An odd store.
Ok. I worked for years in the Grocery biz. I know something about what should go on.
Their back end (truck, stocking) looks on point. Their front end (checkout) was odd. Now look, during peak hours you should probably have more than one register open. I myself was in no hurry and the lone cashier was moving things along, but HEB or Walmart, your direct competition, would have had opened another till.
Just saying I like you but don't give people a reason to shop elsewhere.

DO NOT shop at this location. Jason, the store manager, is the worst manager I have ever encountered and does NOT represent Kroger in a good light. I’ve dealt with a former manager who managed the store around the summer of 2023 and is no longer there. This former manager was so pleasant and kind and supported a community event that I put on. I was sad when I was informed that he longer works here. When I approached Jason, this year, seeking the same support, this man was rude, standoffish and looked at me with a disgusted look on his face when I walked up to him. He was very dismissive when I explained what our event was, when I requested the same support the previous manager provided last year. Jason made me go through several unnecessary hoops that I did not have to go through last year, and he never responded to any of my emails or returned any of my phone calls, after I sent him the documents he asked for. By far the rudest, most unprofessional and insincere manager I have ever dealt with. He is a horrible representation of the Kroger brand.

One of the worse locations, bad customer service.
Manager on duty (11:00 AM on 10/26/24) totally useless

Terrible place to work. They straight up, lie about promotions/openings like children trying to hide candy.

I was hesitant to post this review because I had already submitted a complaint to corporate. This incident occurred on Tuesday, 09/24/24, at this Kroger location. I went in to pick up a few grocery items (a bag of sweet potatoes, a bag of regular potatoes, two bags of red kidney beans, a pack of strawberries, a pack of raspberries, and gum) and was charged $106—about $70 more than it should have been. I immediately informed the cashier, Jessica, about the overcharge, and she directed me to customer service. After speaking to the customer service representative, I was told to wait for the manager. I waited 25 minutes for the manager, Erika, to arrive, only to be accused of stealing the items.
Not only did I receive no apology for being overcharged or for waiting 25 minutes, but I was also falsely accused of taking items out of the store. Erika, the manager, racially profiled me simply because I’m a Black man. She claimed to have watched the security footage and refused to show it to me or call the authorities after I asked her to prove her accusations. I remained calm and respectful the entire time, despite being wrongly accused and the extended wait for my refund.
In the end, another employee finally addressed the issue and refunded my money. No one from the store has reached out to apologize or discuss this incident. This is absolutely not how customers should be treated.

I shop here regularly and today they want to be different. My grocery pickup was for 7pm. Admittedly I was late. That's my bad..things happen. On the app I put that I was on my way a little after 8p. There was an accident off of the beltway that caused a detour, whatever. I arrive to check-in and it won't let me. It says to call a number to reschedule. I call the number and they're closed. What's the point of that? I speak to a manager and I can refund in 48-72 hrs even though the funds have come out of my available balance or he can email the dept and they can schedule me for tomorrow. I do t understand why a nice isn't given that they hold your groceries hostage if you don't pickup on time. I feel like the store doesn't close until 11pm. It's just a very weird process and the communication is super poor. Could someone call to say hey, if you're not here in 5 we lock your order down? I've never had this issue before and I just wanna know Kroger, who hurt you? Normally as long as you pick up before they close its all good. I'm not giving you money twice so I guess my household won't be eating tonight. I can't even complain properly because customer service is closed. Please don't make me switch to HEB. I don't like them. Can someone reach out to me to discuss this experience? I'd love that.
