I was across the parking lot at Starbucks and one of the mechanics came over to me and told me my tire pressure looked low on my spare. He told me if I pull around when I was done he would fill it up for me. I did not catch his name, but I’m very thankful that he did that on his own accord. I am pregnant with two toddlers and I popped a tire on a pothole last week so I was driving on a spare. I will keep him and this company in mind the next time I need car work done.

I would give zero stars if could. After wasting my time across two trips to this place that's a 30-minute drive each way, 1 hour round trip. After the first trip I was told the part was correct for my car, but not my engine. I left to go get the part I needed then had to go home. After driving back up the second time which is dangerous because my thermostat gasket housing is what I need fixed so my car doesn't overheat. I am told the mechanic might break a hose in my car because it is a brittle hose. During repair he will try not to break it, but if he does I will be financially responsible for replacing the hose, and can't drive my car home without the hose that might break. They don't carry the hose I need in-store, all their parts are delivered from somewhere else which I was not informed of before driving hour. If the hose breaks my car would have to stay until the part arrives and I would have to find someone or a rideshare to take me home and bring my car back.I called the first week of January to confirm parts, and cost of labor, and describe the problem needing to be fixed. I've called about four times across three weeks to confirm the price. I received three different quotes within that timeframe. They all kept going up. This person didn't add this or this person forgot this….. The person I spoke with and made my appointment with works at the League City location so nothing we covered over an hour made its way into the system.Todd did his best to help. The mechanic was laughing when he gave me my keys. Maybe he is racist and thinks the whole thing is funny. I don't know. I will never come back here. Th mechanic was cold and short every time I asked him a question and kept trying to find reasons why he couldn't fix my car. I think he thinks he won't make a lot to fix my car so he tried to find ways to get me to leave and that's why he was laughing when he handed my keys.

11/27/23 I arrived at Pep Boys (Pearland) at 8:30 AM to have 4 tires installed that they had ordered the previous week for me. The tech pulled my car into the bay and immediately began doing the "free" comprehensive inspection (a service that I wish I had declined) My vehicle was the only one that he was servicing. Shortly after 11:00 AM I got up and was looking across the shop to see if my car was getting close to done. I watched him putting on the tires and installing the lug nuts with the impact wrench. I saw him let the car down and he immediately got into the vehicle and pulled it to the front. I asked him if he checked the torque on the lug nuts and he said that he did. Rather than calling him out in front of other customers (as I knew that he did not check them) I took it home and checked them myself. Most of the lug nuts clicked right away but two of them were no where close to 150 Ft-Lbs. I had a friend have a wheel fly off after having tires put on so I am very aware of the hazards of improper torque.12/02/23 I just happened to open my hood and found out the brake fluid reservoir cap was missing, as I mentioned I wish that I had declined the "free" inspection. I drove the car for almost a week with no telling how much dust got into the system. I immediately took the car back to Pep Boys and spoke to Rick (the manager). He said they wold order me a new cap and would do a free brake system flush for me but at this point I don't have much confidence in them. I told him since this is my wifes car and has an extended warranty I would feel better having the work done at the dealership and get reimbursed by Pep Boys. I wabt ti be sure the car is safe for her. He said that cannot be done.12/05/23 I got in touch with the corporate office about what happened and was told I would be contacted within 24 hours.12/06/23 I tried to contact the corporate office again and got no response.12/11/23 I had the brake system flush done at the dealership. Still no response from the Pep Boys corporate office. Late that afternoon I received a phone call from Rick (General Manager at the Pearland location) and he told me to bring in the receipt from the dealership and would reimburse me for the charge. He asked me to bring the reciept to him on 12/13/23.12/13/23 I brought the receipt to Rick and was expecting to get reimbursed on the spot according to our phone conversation. He told me the receipt had to be sent to the corporate office and they would mail me a check.01/26/24 STILL NO RESPONSE FROM PEP BOYSUPDATE: I just went back to Pep Boys to speak to Rick and he reimbursed me on the spot. He said that it had been extremely busy and had not gotten back in touch with me. I hold no ill will toward Rick as he has been willing to help all that he could.

Cheaters, Robbers, Crooks, Non Professional people. Yesterday my Friend was cheated at the sharpstown location of Pepboys. He was quoted a price online and was confirmed the same over phone. He booked an appointment, after signing in , his was was taken inside the service area, where there was no trained persons to change the tires. He was made to wait for more then 4 hours, while untrained staff members were struggling with his car. Finally after a wait of more then 4 hours, they were able to mount the tires anyhow. Starts the worst part, he was asked to pay about 200 more then the quoted price. Otherwise he would not get his car back.I would suggest everyone, be careful and do not trust the crooks.

Tod the customer service person in the front was very professional and got me in and out very quickly, he was very kind to suggest I call the next day after plaing my online order bc the tires were probably going to be dropped off the next day instead of waiting to the 27th (the date the online service said they had avaliable) so I was able to get my tired installed the next day after ordering, I was very appreciative of this and I definitely recommend going to pep boys.
