My package said delivered and it wasn’t , went to to speak them and said she was going back , next day nothing was there , the post office itself said they couldn’t do anything for me . My earned money gone to waste and carriers get away with it .

One of America’s many failing institutions. Near 0 customer service. Everything must be done prior online and perfectly. Location only has two clerks at desk who only state that they are unable to facilitate any type of sale or order. If you need a label printed then you must use the customer self help printer in which there is only 1 at the location. All forms and declarations must also be made online.

Shipped items to my son in a military base overseas twice. Mr. Wilson was polite, friendly and professional. He took the time to make recommendations and the process easier.

They keep turning me away to use the kiosk whenever i want a scanned receipt even after I tell them that receipt from the kiosk does not guarantee receipt, only until an actual usps worker scans item so if my package does not get scanned and does not start tracking for some reason I have no recourse because they won’t honor the receipt as proof I have mailed an item and so insurance won’t cover it

I usually go here just to drop off packages, and they’ve got this handy cart right at the front that makes handling bigger boxes way easier — definitely a nice touch.
If you stop by during busy times and need help at the front desk, expect a line, so it’s best to handle as much as you can online. Overall, their operations are super smooth, and I’ve never had a package get lost, which is a big plus.
Solid spot if you just need a reliable place to ship stuff without too much hassle.

The lady name Brandford I hope I spelled her name right. She was so amazing. My dad and I were very confused with the mail that we were sending. But she helped us all the way through. Even though she was kinda busy. She was so patient and kind. We left with feeling good about her kindness. Thank you so so so much <3

I live in a mobile home park. Where our mailbox is located, there is a locker at the bottom for packages that cannot fit into the mailbox. We had a package put into a locker, the problem was that when the door was closed, the delivery person did not put it far enough in so part of the package was stuck in the door. I had to cut the package open in order to get what I sent off for.
Another time, our package was shown to be in a locker. Usually a key is put in your mailbox in order to be able to open the locker. When I looked in my mailbox, there was no key. I looked at one of the lockers and it had the key in it. I tried the key and sure enough, there was my package. The delivery person forgot to put the key in our mailbox. Anybody could have stolen our package.
Finally, we had two packages delivered to our mailbox. It wasn't there. We lost both of them. We contacted the post office, they said they would investigate and we haven't heard anything from them.
The Silver lake post office deserves a 0 not a 1. Inept and Terrible best describes this post office

Toll number completely useless. Just let me talk to someone at this location. Not going to waste my time driving out there when I can just call about something.

Moved here from Alabama 4 mos ago for liver transplant. I visit Alameda Station P.O. at least once a week & each time there are piles of broken glass in the parking lot where vehicles have been broken into. I've written complaints to the Post Office but vehicles continue to be broken into despite its signage that law enforcment is monitoring the premises. What a joke? Go to this P. O. at your own risk. This review is not going to make any difference to P.O. because it doesn't care.
