Cancelled my membership since June and I get a charge for the month of October I dispute since I cancelled membership months prior! Then on January I receive an email saying I have funds due......they told me I had to pay and I told them I cancelled them they said no you didn't you put it on hold!! They straight out said I was lying and are trying to make me pay for it even tho I haven't gone and cancelled mid June due to a death in the family overseas! Don't recommend this place at all, the email they sent back was so dry and lacked emotion!

Terrible!!! Horrible and unprofessional sports programs for kids!! Can’t even give accurate information on where practices will be held!! Not enough children for actual games!! They had my ten year old playing against 14 year olds!! DO NOT SEND YOUR KID HERE FOR SPORTS!!

What used to be a fun and affordable place now is overpriced and to crowded. I enjoyed the swimming but now they want to push adults away for the kids swim lessons. They cater more for families with kids.

You have a variety of classes for 50 yrs.old and up. The front desk employees are very kind, helpful and friendly. The instructors are very welcoming, challenging and helpful. I had to go to another gym a year ago and I was sooo thankful to return to the Y. Thank you,Sara Gonzales

This Christian organization has been charging my credit card on auto pay for months, I’ve received zero bills or communication and haven’t attended once since my daughter’s basketball league ended. I’m asking for a refund and hoping they comply. Will update here accordingly!Update: Samual Gray has reached out to me and will refund.

I love my Y. I primarily use it for exercise classes and the treadmill. instructors are wonderful. I feel like they truly care and you're not there just to join their work out. Everyone at the front desk is always very friendly. It's not the most modern and clean gym but I always get a workout so I am ok with that. Membership is a little bit more costly than some others but I like that my money is also going to help children and families in the community. They also offer great swim lessons including private year.

We have participated in the Pearland YMCA for four years now. I hate more than anything to have to offer a negative opinion of this organization as it has so much potential for positive influence in children's lives. Unfortunately the last two years have seen a degradation of all facets of this organization. From overall organizational management, commitment of volunteers to not only core values but also proper coaching and structured management of games. Volunteers at games are given no instruction on their role, referees constantly disregard any call by line judges. Coaches are unqualified in every manner Imaginable for the sport they are "teaching". This organization has evolved into a disappointing waste of time. We are pulling our kids out and will also recommend pulling all corporate sponsorship unless someone takes this seriously. You have a responsibility to do better for these kids. What are you doing with all the sponsor money you receive?

YMCA in Houston only seems to hire certain target groups. If you aren't in their target market, you can forget about being hired despite your qualifications. Perhaps they need to reevaluate their processes and upper management. They seem to be over priced for what you get too.

I’ve been living my Best Fit Life!!! This gym meets all my needs! Solid gym facility where the trainers, instructors and staffs are warm and welcoming. I recently relocated here from DMV/NYC area and was looking for a gym that had comprehensive work out classes. I am especially interested in strength training and weight lifting/toning and I found what I needed here. Jen and Carrie are the BEST instructors (BodyPump, Core, HILT, R.I.P.P.D). All the instructors are very nice, warm and inviting….Michelle (Barre), Peggy (senior instructor (ForeverWell Combo, Low Impact Combo, Tai Chi) fun Zumba classes. The machines and weight equipments are up to par.The best part is, I can go to any YMCA location with no restrictions or added fees. What else can one ask for ?
