About West of the Pecos Museum
This museum is excellent, with a great variety of exhibits on multiple aspects of history and culture in the area. It is in a historical area right next to the railroad track. The large collection of western memorabilia centers on west Texas, with endless collections of period pictures to period firearms. The museum is the original buildings, one hotel and a saloon attached. The place is in excellent condition, with 2 or 3 floors of Pecos artifacts and a lot of Cowboy culture inside. Each room has a theme of the town. It takes at minimum a couple hours to see it all. Entry tickets are available in the gift shop, which has some good items. The curators are very pleasant.

This is an excellent museum with a great variety of exhibits on multiple aspects of history and culture in the area. I would return to Soak in the information again if I lived locally.
I was on a road trip and just noticed the museum when driving by. I decided to go back and check it out and am glad that I did.
