This is the most unprofessional firm that I have seen. Because they did the electrical services for the house I recently moved in, I was told by the builder to reach out to them for the EV install. It took weeks for them to even come and check the home (multiple calls, texts, emails by myself and the builder directly) so that they could give me a quote on the work which I approved immediately so the work can be done asap. However, after telling me that it would take an hour and they can do it the next day, they ghosted me. Couldn’t get a hold of them for weeks. Do not rely on them.

The technician was in a hurry to leave and wasn’t ready to listen to any suggestions I was making regarding the installation work. Totally unprofessional.

I am stuck with using this for a home warranty and the experience has been awful. Getting an electrician to actually show for a scheduled appointment occasionally takes several no-shows. The receptionist doesn't return calls and rarely picks up the phone. I've had days where it took me 10+ calls before reaching somebody. Incompetent and unprofessional.

I just witnessed one of your trucks passing a school bus this afternoon. The lights were on and flashing and a child was exiting.. The school bus beeped to stop the guy from passing and he went around It anyway.. He almost hit a child and kept going...

The most unprofessional, unreliable company. Missed appointments and customer service was something to be desired. Left the pipe boot ON TOP of the shingles when installing the main box.

This company was used by our builder to install the wiring in our, obviously, new built home. So far, we've had to report *multiple* issues with the wiring being installed incorrectly, and we aren't even at the year old mark for the house. We just had another entire circuit go out this weekend and a large portion of our house is without power. Their emergency number has an error on it that it's not available. I've left two voicemails on their normal phone line with no response over the course of three days. I'm trying to go through our builder's warranty program now, but they state I have to give Aptech another 48 hours to respond to that even. It's already been 3 days(!!!) and a quarter of our house has without electricity. Amptech does not install things properly. They do not respond to your attempts to contact them. They make their emergency numbers inaccessible. If they aren't out of business already, they should be. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I'd say you're lucky if you can get them to respond to you, but if they respond, it's not a good thing either. Save yourself a massive headache, that could endanger your family's lives, and go with a competent, and responsive company instead. Amptech is not the answer you need. I'm just sitting here wondering if one day our house will burn down because they didn't install the wiring properly. The amount of stress, anxiety, and now mounting anger, they are causing, is overwhelming. Just look for an actually good company/electrician anywhere else but Amptech.

Edgar came out on an emergency call on Sunday morning and did a fantastic job resolving our issues. He replaced our whole house breaker, then went on to tighten loose connections, check our amperage draw, and waited extra time to see that everything was working properly. He educated me each step of the way what he was doing and why. Edgar was a great representative for Amptech and was courteous, professional and helped with a great attitude. I would definitely recommend him to anyone!

Awful is an understatement. The wired my custom home in So. Austin and I have been having constant problems for the past 2 years. Very shoddy craftsmanship overall, such as:1. Miswiring a 3-way switch such that both switches need to be on in order for the light to work (kinda defeats the point of a 3-way switch). Several attempts to fix this, but after 2 years the problem still exists.2. Completely forgetting to install a 220 outlet for the stove, even though it was clearly in the plans. They were able to retrofit this, after tearing out all our custom tiles.3. 2 years after the original build, GFI breakers are starting to randomly failI have a distinct feeling that they did not have a master electrician running the project at all. We even had the owners onsite for a meeting during the build, scolded them for an hour, and they just stared at me with a dumbfounded look.

Had an electrical problem with our new home and they came out two times and spent hours to find the problem. The techs were super stars and were able to show me the problem so I understood and got it fixed.

Hard to get a returned phone call. Amptech wired our new home. There was an issue at our 1-year home inspection that took a while for them to resolve and eventually went through the builder. Since then, I have called multiple times as we have a couple of breakers that keep flipping in the kitchen. The first time they responded and charged $150 to replace one breaker in which the repair guy was in my home for less than five minutes. A week after that breaker was replaced, another breaker (in the kitchen again) started flipping. Now they will not answer the phone or return calls. This leads me to think it is a wiring issue rather than another bad breaker.Hum...
