Yeah, residential customers, don't waste your time. I did today. I believed their website with their page of residential service offerings. I read their reviews and saw 3 of the more recent reviews complimenting them on residential service. I left messages to get service and thought I was done seeking an electric company. WRONG. They apparently shifted business focus and didn't have the courtesy to change their website. Baited me right into thinking I had someone getting scheduled to come out, or contact me, and all I got was a refusal. Hey, business owner, can you find the time in your day to update your website? Lady on the phone said you made this decision months ago and yet you've still got all the residential service offerings up on your residential page. "Big or Small, Colvin does it all" -- laugh. No, you don't. "Residential Circuit Restoration" -- laugh. Nope, you don't do that either, but both of those are on your website. But hey, it's just the residential people you're angering, and you don't do that work, so it won't hurt you anyway, yeah?

Had another great electrical service experience with Colvin Electric. Hayward found and replaced faulty outlets and two GFIs, so now all the outlets work. Thank you Hayward! I like how the service rep called 20 mins before coming, and I got a text with the service reps picture and qualifications. I highly recommend Colvin Electric.

Hayward is the salt of the earth professionally and politeness wise. He is like a disciplined scientist with details. Five-thumbs up to Colvin Electric on staffing. I had several electrical outlets in my home that were no longer working. Hayward taught me a little something about GFI "master" switch outlets. Fantastic! I had Colvin Electric at my home once before to fix a ceiling fan. I had to buy a missing part first. Hayward took care of this too! The pricing was reasonable and affordable. NOW, I am considering asking Hayward and Colvin Electric to add more power sockets all around my house.

To be fair, working with this company up-front was a good experience. My call was answered in a timely manner and I was given a window from 2pm-5pm within about a week for a tech to come out, assess the issue and make the needed repairs. The tech did come the day that was scheduled and I received good updates about that.The communication from the tech about the charges though was very poor. I could not take a call while I was at work, so I asked to have the info emailed to me. What I received was an invoice with very little detail on the costs of goods and labor with a flat $500 charge. I felt I had little choice but to get the work done for my tenants, but after calling around the charge for the work performed was high vs. the competition. I believe I could have had this work done for half of the flat fee charged.This isn't a terrible company, but you may find better luck elsewhere. Buyer beware.

Haywood Smart was our electrician this time (our third time using Colvin for projects on our property). He was excellent, listened to our requests and understood the complexity of our system quickly (multiple solar installations, battery backup, etc.). The work was done quickly and precisely.
