DICK'S Sporting Goods is absolutely my first stop for anything sports or outdoor-related here in the Pflugerville and broader Central Texas area, and they consistently earn a full five stars from me!
The selection is truly outstanding. Whether I'm gearing up for a hike in the Hill Country, needing new running shoes, outfitting my kids for their local sports leagues, or just looking for casual athletic wear, I can always find exactly what I need. They have a fantastic range of brands and products for every activity imaginable.
What truly sets this store apart, though, is the knowledgeable and genuinely helpful staff. Every time I've needed assistance – from finding the right size cleat to understanding the features of a new piece of equipment – the associates have been incredibly friendly, patient, and clearly passionate about sports themselves. Their expertise makes a real difference in finding the perfect fit or item.
The store is always well-organized, clean, and makes for a pleasant shopping experience. Plus, the convenience of finding everything under one roof, from camping gear to golf clubs, is a huge time-saver.

On February 26, 2025 around 3:00pm I went into Dicks Sporting Goods Pflugerville, Texas location with my teenage son. We were just browsing around and my son wanted a white nike jacket and white shades to match. We went to the check out line to purchase the items and not 1, not 2, but 3 different employees proceeded to walk past us. No one said I will be with you in a moment they just walked past us like we did not exist. At that moment, I told my son to put the items on the counter and we left, because of the poor treatment and customer service I experienced at Dicks I went to Academy and purchased a jacket, sunglasses and shoes, just to be petty. Dicks you lost a customer because you all chose to be DICKS!

Had the pleasure meeting Victoria tonight. She was simply amazing. I gave up hope looking for a particular Stanley cup for my son and she assisted me in finding it. Thank you Victoria! My son truly appreciates you as well because his beautiful is delighted now that she got the exact cup she was wanting for Valentine’s Day. Keep up the good work.

We received a gift from a family member, they ordered it online. I went to the store to get a store credit for it so we can purchase something else. The girl processed the return and it went back to the original payment method. The manager told me that with online orders it automatically goes back to the original payment and there’s nothing that they can do for me which I think is stupid. No store credit option???? Had I known we would’ve exchanged for things in the store. Not very helpful.

I want to give a huge shoutout to Dan in the bike department at Dick’s Sporting Goods! I purchased a bike from another store, and unfortunately, it arrived damaged. On Christmas Eve, I called and spoke with Dan, desperately hoping to find a replacement bike for my youngest daughter—it was her first bike, and I didn’t want her to miss out. Dan went above and beyond, locating the very last Schwinn in stock and even having it fully assembled by the time I arrived. His kindness, efficiency, and dedication truly saved the day. Not all heroes wear capes—sometimes they work at Dick’s Sporting Goods! Thank you, Dan, for making my daughter’s Christmas unforgettable!

We placed an order on Friday around 4:50 pm my mom went in to pick up the order about an hour and half later because on the website it states that order takes about an hour to fulfill. When she went in they told her it wasn’t ready and that she would have to come back once we got an email confirming order was ready for pick up. I never even got an email confirmation about said order. They then proceeded to have her order ready 10 minutes after she left the building which is ridiculous. She went to pick up the order today and the shoes were dirty soles and all even the laces clearly they had been worn before and returned. If they got upset because she went in to pick up her order early even though hey charged her immediately for the product and they didn’t have it ready they should not retaliate that way as if it’s her fault or she’s an inconvenience to them, it was a horrible experience overall. Didn’t even try to find a solution they didn’t even really talk or acknowledge her she called me to tell me the situation while it was happening told her to tell them to refund her the money and make sure they gave her a receipt. She needed to go get her card for the return and the guy helping her walks to the door to watch her for whatever reason making her really uncomfortable mind you a return hadn’t been processed yet and she was on the phone with me. She didn’t understand why he was at the door watching her at all.

I came in to exchange an item (for the exact same thing) since the one that came in the mail was scuffed up. I explained to the cashier what I wanted to do and asked if that was possible since I had purchased the item entirely with points. She said she could so I went and got another one, came to the front, and she tried charging me the full amount. I had to explain I only wanted to swap the item and she said I couldn't swap anymore because she had already processed it as a return and I'd have to wait to get my points back. The lack of listening and communication is upsetting not to mention I wasn't given a physical or emailed receipt for the returned item. I called the customer service line and was able to get everything sorted out.

Marya the sales store rep deined return based reserved right policy even though if you have original receipt and within the time period then it should take return. They said shoe is not saleable condition so they can decide whatever they want to based reserved rights. BEWARE FROM DICKS.
