Very busy shop. Very well organized. Promised a specific timeframe for repairs to be completed, and was completed in half the time. Reasonable prices. Could improve speed of vehicle pickup, but understandable due to how busy they are.

3 hours of waiting before my car was even in the bay is diabolical. They also didn’t know I had the certificate insurance for my tires so was giving me a price that did not include that. Why do I have to remind them that I have this? Round rock location has never made me wait that long.

Do not go on a Monday... 40 minute wait to see someone at the counter.
They did get my truck out/repaired and the job was done right!

I didn’t had the best experience today. I don’t know if they felt rushed since they were busy. My service today was replacing all 4 of my tires and getting new wiper blades. When receiving my vehicle 1st thing was my back tire pressure was showing 0 2nd one of the wiper blades was not properly placed. 3rd when driving home my front right tire was making a noise I had to take it back to get it checked out. They told me that it wasn’t something they did that the tire was placed correctly they took it a part and stated that it was probably the wear and tear on my vehicle causing the noise. I did let them know it wasn’t making that noise before 😩 One of the guys stated is probably because I replaced the tires now the balance is different. It doesn’t make any sense to me now I have to take it to a mechanic to see what is wrong with it since they don’t want to take accountability for it.

Marcus Torres, outstanding young man. Great customer service, attention to detail, very helpful. He is a credit to your establishment. I will recommend this location to friends and neighbors just because of this young man.

I always have a great experience when I need to either get a new tire or get one repaired.

This is long. In short, excessive damage to my vehicles and misleading, hours-long wait times have become routine. Im a life-long professional car builder, now with my own restoration shop. I’ve purchased every new set of tires exclusively from DT for all of my family and customers’ daily drivers. I bought my first personal set of new tires from the RR location about 25 years ago. Loyal until this Pflugerville location opened and it’s been my tire shop ever since. This includes scheduled balance/rotations which is a big help on my end. I’ve never met an impolite or lazy employee at DT, they’re all friendly, hustle and try hard. With that said, I’ve tapered off using DT for rotations, doing them myself, having DT balance them every 3-4 rotations since the few acceptable small scratches here and there have become deep gouges and filth. I also see completely unsafe practices by their techs. I’ve mainly used DT for tire purchases for the last year or so because of this, putting off balancing as much as possible to avoid frustration and damages. Speaking on my last three visits alone: First, my wife’s 4Runner was brought in for what would be its last balance. Waited 2 hours with an appointment before they started. One arm of the lift crushed an OEM skid plate since it was incorrectly placed 1’ forward of the correct lift point. Right side center caps weren’t removed and the socket was forcibly used, damaging the caps. They were popped off using the balancer arbor, letting them hit the floor. The left side caps were removed at the car, thrown face down on the concrete. All caps were installed with a fist, damaging the decorative ring. Before installation, all wheels were leaned on the rotors or dust shields with the barrels of the rims, bending one shield against the rotor. Next visit, new set of tires on my 1/2 ton GMC. Told to avoid appointment, come in for faster service, 3 hours till start. Rear lifted by the pumpkin, front by the sway bar bushings. Damaged an oem machined wheel with a clip-on weight although specifically told not to. Several scratches on all wheels, calipers and shields. Last, a few days ago for a new set of tires on the 4Runner. Told to skip appointment, 3 hours till start, talked to 3 other customers with the same story. Left center caps at home to avoid damage, asked to please lift by correct lift points on the frame rails. Front lifted by tranny crossmember flanges and bolts, gouges throughout. Rear lift arms placed in the general correct area, but gouged the OEM fuel tank shield. Gouges on every wheel inside and out, aside from the necessary clamp marks, and stick on weights were crudely removed with a screwdriver, surfaces for new weights not cleaned, scratches from wheels on all calipers/shields. Two tires leaned against the paint. Elbows and handprints on paint. While waiting outside on the benches I watched a perfect 1-ton center cap slide on the concrete while being used as a lug nut bowl. A BMW was lifted with a raw metal jack behind the lift pad. It’s wheel was mule-kicked off the hub, sole of the shoe directly on the spokes before attempted removal with hands. A customer’s train horn was activated startling all of the workers. A Subaru was lifted with only two jacks, one behind the front right wheel, another in front of the left rear, only the left front tire teetering off and on the ground with a tech reaching his arm between a tire and the ground. At least three impacts ran over. Several wheels on brakes and tires on paint. Cars are driven and keys are handed to customer with the same gloves or hands that just performed the service. I’ve avoided spending several thousands of dollars on my own tire equipment due to low frequency of tire changes throughout the year but now I have a good reason. I’ve complained about it several times, this was your third chance to earn my trust back. My most recent visit had confirmation number 5038616388. Don’t go here, tire prices are intensely competitive elsewhere.

It took 30 minutes to drop my truck off for an appointment I made online. I think they need more front desk staff because there was only one person in front of me and it took that long. Other than that they were good.

I had an excellent experience at Discount Tire thanks to Lee's outstanding service. He was knowledgeable, professional, and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. I brought in my 2021 Tahoe for new tires, and Lee took the time to walk me through the best options for performance and durability. He made sure I got a great deal and had my Tahoe road-ready in about 30 minutes. The team’s efficiency and customer-first attitude really stood out. Highly recommend Discount Tire, especially if you get the chance to work with Lee!

I found 2 nails in my tire earlier this week and knew Discount Tire has a policy of repairing their tires, so I headed to this location. I was hesitant after a previous location did something to it the last time and I had to subsequently take it to a repair shop. This location stays very busy but they were communicative and able to get me in and out much faster than originally anticipated. The staff communicated with me through the process and I did know that I could've improved the wait time if I made an appointment online, but the emergency of the nails in the tire prevented that option. Overall, I would choose to return to this location again.

Came in during the last 30 minutes of the day and Kenneth still greeted me with a smile and a great attitude. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of—no complaints at all. It’s rare to see that kind of dedication and customer service, especially near closing time. Truly appreciated his help. If you’re visiting Discount Tire, ask for Kenneth—he’s awesome!

I decided to give this location another try, but unfortunately had the same experience. The customer service still is awful—they answer every phone call before assisting customers who are already in line. Expect to wait around 20 minutes before being helped. I recommend visiting the Round Rock location instead. Alternatively, consider hiring more staff for the lobby—one person simply isn't enough!

We brought in our car for a free flat tire repair a month or so ago. When the leak persisted, we took it back for repair/replacement.
Employee stated that the folks who repaired tire last didn’t use a plug implying that this was the reason tire needed replacement. I told him that discount tire did the repairs last month. He said he didn’t know if this was the case and stated we needed a new tire.
I have been to this location quite a few times for replacement of tires and it’s always been a somewhat contentious and standoffish experience.
I’m over it, we’ll just go to Costco from now on. The prices are decent and the guess work is completely removed.
