This gold’s gym has the best staff. A very vibrant and energetic bunch. It’s amazing that they were able to find such amazing workers. I hate name dropping, but specifically Jordan R. She is the star of the show. She deserves a free protein drink. If you’re looking for a good gym in your local area come here. Good equipment and well maintained restrooms.

Love the classes and instructors here! My only complaint is that they haven’t cleaned the class floors since I started coming in July 2023. The floors have the same markings. Pretty gross. ?

This is the cleanest location in the Austin area. Equipment is well maintained. I do the group classes a couple of days a week. Great instructors. Head manager is friendly and interested in patron experiences. Younger front desk staff just need to greet customers more, not chatting with their buds or be focused on their phones.

I've been a member here for a couple of years now and only continue to go because of location. But, if you live next to other gyms, don't come here, it's the worst. The pool has been closed as far as I can remember, there are never any towels to wipe down the machines, not to mention there are always a number of machines broken.... Hell, there was no soap in the entire bathroom the other day. This place needs their employees to get off their cell phones and work every once in a while. I really don't know what's going on, but steer clear if your looking for a good gym. I've attached pics of 3 paper towel machines I went to where all of them were out of towels.

Good gym overall, in my opinion this gym doesn't have enough equipment for all of its members, especially during peak time, which seems to be all the time. Should have more then one leg extension machine, and double the back equipment in my opinion.

Coming from LTF (from MN), I was super excited to see golds less than a mile away from home but I can’t rate this place above 2. I only prefer weight training now but this place seemed to have very limited options. There is officially only one squat rack. The other two are rusted to its entirety and noticed the olympic bars have completely lost all its grip. Majority of the equipments needs an upgrade and so does the ethical standards. Noticed most of the folks here work out in groups and don’t switch machines quickly. The group at the leg press was taking forever. Fitness clubs treats this very seriously nowadays and even includes this into their regulations.Bottom line is, I could easily tell this place is more a “what you get for what you pay for”. Not sure if this is gold’s standards but Im clearly disappointed on my first day. Im happy I didn’t sign up because front desk told me to take the guest pass instead. I ended up joining cowboys - they have 4 full sized squat racks and much better quality.

Unpleasant Customer Service ExperienceI recently had a disappointing encounter with the customer service at this gym. Despite calling to have my debit card removed from the account to avoid charges, the representative assured me it would be done but failed to follow through. Subsequent calls to rectify the situation were met with rudeness, and the staff refused to address the issue. This experience has left me frustrated and questioning the level of customer care at this establishment.

Changed my previous review as it was unfair. This gym is just fine and the staff and managers really care and do their best.

I guess this specific gym is notorious for not cancelling people's membership (look at the reviews). Cancelled on 4/20. Billed on 4/25(the next billing cycle). Which that should have ended on 5/25. I still kept getting charged. Called them and the lady told me to email Mark which I did. I emailed both emails. Got no response. Now I am getting a letter from a collections agency which could affect my credit. Great Job!

Really, now I need to watch Christain preaching crap on the t.v every Sunday? There are many religious backgrounds in the gym, stop trying to push your views on everyone else, do better.

Gold’s has been a great gym IMO. Does it get busy during peak hours? Yes. But the members are friendly and the gym has enough equipment to go around. Sometimes I do have to wait a few minutes for a machine but this is a first world problem. Is the music loud? Yes. Does everyone wear headphones? Also yes. But if I don’t have my headphones or I need to let my ears breathe, I don’t want to hear heavy breathing, grunting, and weights clanking. So am I OK with the loud music? Also also yes.I’ve only taken the Gold’s Burn and Gold’s Fit classes in the morning and they are great. Coach Darnell is a lot of fun and I dig his playlists. My only beefs are:*The Gold’s Burn room has been out of commission for several months now.*The parking lot needs to be repainted (I have poor night vision, OK ?).*The pool is empty but nothing useful is being done with the space.AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST*The toilets in the women’s bathroom barely flush. For the love of all that’s holy Gold’s please fix the toilets! The end.

Husband and I are both veterans and signed up with a military discount - we received that rate for the first month only. Front desk staff are rarely present to handle admin issues and no one answers the phone. Used to go a Gold’s in Austin pre-pandemic when they still had a pools open, it was a better value then. Literally anyone could walk in to this location with or without a membership… adding insult to injury, the “manage membership” option on their app does not let you terminate your membership online. We wish they were better, but they have a long list of things to improve on.

I was a member of Golds Gym for years and had a good experience at the facility itself until I had to cancel my membership due to relocation to another city. Upon canceling my membership, my account was continously billed monthly for over a year and I was not under any contractual agreement to warrant the continued billing. When I called to discuss the over billing Iwith management I was treated very poorly and was told there was a misstep when I previously canceled my membership. Golds management then requested that I drive 3 hours to the Pflugerville location to cancel my membership again in person. After disclosing that this was not possible I was then given an email option which I accepted and did immediately. 24 hours upon sending my email, I received a confirmation that my request for cancelation had been recieved and that I would continue to be billed for the following month versus being reimbursed for the previous 14 months of over billing. I was simply told that there was nothing they would do or could do which is very hard to believe. As a Vice President of a publicly traded company, I have never treated a customer this way nor an employee or team member. The business practices of how Golds Gym treats members needs to be reevaluated and go from a business model of catering to your customer versus stealing from them. Golds Gym is very quick to sign you up with a smile and collect their fees from you but whenever you cancel your membership you will be met with the complete opposite response and they will find every way possible to continue to bill you under the false pretenses that their is nothing they can do. Truly sad

This has been my home gym for the last 4 years, and its the worst I've seen it since I joined. Management changed a year or so ago and the new management team has put little to no resources back into the gym. If something breaks down they just remove it (leg extension, hip extension and so many popular core machines). Feels like they're just trying to maintain. If anyone from the management team is reading please go to cowboys fitness and take notice of what they're offering.
