“I started looking for fully prepped meal options to make it as easy as possible for me to start changing my eating habits to something healthier.

With so many popular online meal delivery services, I started there, but quickly discovered the there actually weren't that many places offering fully prepped meals without preservatives and large amount of sodium. Those that did exist got very expensive very quickly.

I switched to looking locally, thinking I'd only find things like private chefs that were even more expensive, and that's when I found Meal Proz.

For a few weeks I tried two meals a day, ordering online and picking up at their Round Rock and Burnet locations, as well as showing up at the Round Rock location and picking meals from the fridge. One order I chose the lower carb/double veggie option and although I didn't get the fancy printed nutritional facts stickers, each meal was hand customized replacing things like rice with those extra veggies exactly as said.

Everybody I've met, including the owner, has been super nice and helpful. The meals I've chosen so far have tasted good, use simple straightforward ingredients, and are surprisingly low in sodium.

This week, I signed up for one of the seven day prepaid plans. My eating habits aren't suddenly magically perfect, but I'm on that quest, and I've definitely eaten healthier in these few weeks than I have in many, many months.”
