I had a very disappointing experience with MTZ Auto in Pflugerville. After my car was supposedly ready, I discovered that the owner took it for personal errands, including a trip to the grocery store. When I addressed this, the owner claimed it was a “test drive” and insisted she has every right to drive vehicles left in her possession and that she could’ve taken any of the cars there.
On top of that, I was instructed to walk under an active service bay just to get to the office, which felt extremely unsafe and unprofessional. The communication was poor, and the overall lack of professionalism left me extremely dissatisfied.
Feel free to comment on my review if you want proof — we have video of her unloading groceries from my car and audio recordings of our conversations with her. DO NOT GO HERE.

Our car was ready for pickup the day prior thus no test drive was needed the next day. The car was also given back with 21 miles driven on it we took photos of the mileage before dropping it off.
About the video you supposedly have of my fiancé, I would love to hear and see them because she was audio recording before she even walked into the shop.
Nothing was waived because no services were done on the car, you said nothing was wrong with it.
Feel free to reach out if you need a refresher on what you said because it doesn’t seem like you remember to well!

Best shop to go to Rose is always beyond helpful and always goes the extra mile for customers 100/100!!
Needed my inspection done but had to have my battery replaced came back to MTZ and they covered my inspection fee and made the process super smooth always my go to shop can’t recommend enough!!

Well my wife's 2016 Ford Explorer Limited decided to shutdown on her on toll way 130. She lost all power. Thankfully she was safe. We called our innaurance company to tow it to MTZ.
MTZ had previously worked on her vehicle before. They do great work and in my own opinion they are honest than most places these days.
Their mechanic talked with me in person. He told me the worse upfront, basically a new engine. The best hopeful news it was repairable, but they wouldn't know until they went through all the codes and take the engine apart.
Basically at 165k+ miles the timing belt broke on the engine among other things. They also told me they recommended to replace the water pump before it went out since it was at the mileage.
It a took about a couple of weeks for the entire repair.
When I went to pick it up the day they said it was ready. The engine felt like new and to be honest it felt better than it did before.
I am going to continue to use this shop for major mechanical needs.

I waited a couple months after the service was done to write this review to see how everything panned out. I have a high performance European vehicle that needed replacement of the low and high pressure fuel pump. It was daunting to say the least however the Sales Manager, Rose, was extremely friendly and provided timely updates through the entire process, they gave me a great quote and adhered to the original pricing. The vehicle was completed very quickly (much faster than anticipated) and they were able to get me in less than 24 hours after the original inquiry. The mechanic was very informative and explained everything very well to make me feel comfortable. It has been a couple months and the car is driving like new. Highly recommend!

This place is a "TRAP".
I went there for inspection.but unfortunately,the result was failed.so i ask melk (owner) how to fix it so that my car could pass the inspection.he said,need to replace "THIS".(since i know nothinh about this kind of parts,i just follow his instruction to replace that .i had to pay around $1.400).
After they replaced that part,they told me to come back again after i drove about 100 miles.after i drove 100 miles,i came back to get another inspection,and the second result was failed again.He told me another problem came out that made my car failed the inspection,so need to change "THIS PART".then i said ok,i paid $150 for that part.after that i had to drove 100 miles again to get another inspection.the result was failed again.he told me by showing the paper of the inspection that my car have another problem with this code.need to change the certain part again.i said ok,then i had to pay $475..i drove around 100miles,came back again to get another inspection..it was FAILED again.he explained to me about my car problem "like this, like that".how can i understand about this thing?i already paid around $2000.but still i didnt pass the inspection?he told me to change another part.its mean i have pay again...how much should i pay,to pass the inspection?he really drain my wallet.since i said i couldnt afford to pay anymore,he(melk) told me to get someone else to get my car fixed.this really disappointed,after i have already paid around $2000 and i got nothing.he just want to get away with that money without any responsibility.
I should never come there.very disappointed.

I've been going to MTZ Auto Care for years! Melk and his staff are simply the best. Its so nice to have someone that you trust when it comes to car maintenance and repairs. He is honest and always gives a fair price. I would highly recommend.

2024 update: continue to come here. No hidden costs, you know exactly what they are doing and cost going in. No upselling... continue to be happy with my local mechanic shop.
