Venturing into Russo's Pizza was like stepping onto the set of a retro sitcom where the décor insists it's still the golden age of The Sopranos, but the cleaning crew has since taken a long, possibly permanent, vacation. The ambiance is a blend of nostalgic and "did that just move?" with a side of intrigue, making one ponder the last time the establishment embraced the concept of a deep clean. The staff, a merry band of souls who've seemingly mastered the art of apathy, provide a service that could only be described as an avant-garde approach to customer care. Their detachment from the world of enthusiasm was so profound, it was almost commendable. Almost. Now, onto the pièce de résistance – the pizza. Russo's special pie could easily double as a flotation device, with its uniquely floppy crust and innovative oil pools that offer a reflection deep enough to question your dining choices. It's a bold statement in the pizza world, where "less is more" is taken to heart, especially when it comes to structural integrity. The appetizer, a curious ensemble of bread and cheese sticks, brought back fond memories of culinary experiments in one's youth, where the microwave was the instrument of choice. Staleness added a crunchy surprise to what one might usually expect to be soft and edible, leaving taste buds in a state of bewildered suspense. In sum, dining at Russo's is an unforgettable journey through time and texture. It leaves a lot to be desired, indeed, but also much to ponder, like the resilience of oil in defying gravity and the untapped potential of microwaves in gourmet cuisine. A visit here is recommended for those who seek adventure over sustenance, and who appreciate a good mystery, especially when it comes to what's on their plate.

I really enjoyed their lasagna. The sauce is full of flavor with the Chianti added in. Our server is super nice. Will be back for sure.

Terrible service. Only two tables occupied. Called in order. Kept hanging up on me. Walked inside while on the phone callling russo’s. Finally a waitress answered. Told her it’s me who’s calling. Called a total of seven times.

A friend and I came for lunch and had probably one of the worst experiences ever. We saw a cockroach on the wall right before we got our food. The food that I ordered came out incorrectly but because the waiter doesn’t speak English it was very hard to communicate that it was incorrect. I then had to eat a mystery sandwich. I ordered the chicken Tuscany sandwich and somehow ended up with chicken and meatballs on my sandwich. I will say the food was good, but I have no idea what I just ate.

Hey guys, where's the sauce? There was barely any pizza sauce on my big slice. The pizza crust had a good crunch, and the feta and ricotta cheese gave the pizza a good creaminess. The spaghetti was aggressively mediocre; decent marinara sauce and the meatballs had a weird taste/texture(super mushy). Then again, this was a pickup order. Maybe I need to sit down at the restaurant for a fresh, tasty meal. If I need a quick slice instead of a whole pizza, I'll probably come back until I find a better place in this area. Since it was pickup, I didn't get a full experience of service. But as soon as I walked in, someone approached me to help, and i received my food pretty quick. Overall, it was fine. Check it out for yourself.

I ordered a truffle burrata pomodoro. It was delicious but the only complaint I have is that the burrata cheese didn’t seem fresh or I was expecting the soft texture of burrata cheese but got more of a mozzarella kind of feel.

My husband ordered a whole birthday cake for me (as we have done for each other on most occasions). While ordering the cake, the manager made a comment to the effect of “you won’t want to continue with the order once you hear the price as most people don’t want the cake after they learn the price” as if to insinuate he wouldn’t be interested in the purchasing the cake because he wouldn’t be able to afford it…Next, I went in to pick up the cake that Saturday around 3:30pm (the cake was ordered the Tuesday before) and I was greeted with confusion. The gentleman was scrambling trying to locate our cake order and get ahold of the manager to try and figure out where the cake order was and how to process the order. He then realized the managers phone was left behind. I then asked if they even had an extra cake in the freezer and he stated yes but that he didn’t know how to charge me for it. He then said that the manager should be back in no more than 15 mins.About 45mins past and the manager walks in. When I politely asked for an understanding as to what happened, she nonchalantly stated that they did not put the order into the system and that she just knew to order an extra cake. She then rings me up and I simply pay for my cake and leave. My issue here is simply that there was no remorse or professionally whatsoever coming from the restaurant manager. I waited in the store for over an hour on my birthday and she could not even bother to look at me and simply apologize for the inconvenience or the time I had to spend waiting on her to get back to the store. She could have even simply said “thank you for your patience.”. At least then I would have felt like she valued my time. She seemed almost annoyed with my presence which is abnormal since I usually have amazing experience there.
