My cat housed here for 10 days, and everything seemed well! I was sent one photo of her in those 10 days (without paying extra for daily pictures), and drop off/pick up was easy. The staff seemed to love her and spoke very positively of her, and all the items we brought in with her were returned to us. She seemed very hungry when she got home, but I’ll chalk it up to stress. Overall a great experience! Would trust them with my cat again.

Everyone we've encountered @ VCA Pflugerville is the definition of compassion. The staff that greet yous, the Techs & the Veterinarians are All top notch, are incredibly understanding, & more than capable.I can not picture a scenario where VCA Pflugerville is not our go-to Veterinarian Office.

Please do not see Dr Pruitt, request a different Veterinarian. In the 10+ years I have been visiting VCA Pflugerville, I have had nothing but exceptional service and experiences. Unfortunately my perception of this location has changed due to my recent visits.

These are the nicest people on the planet. Every time I go in, they take time to make my pup feel comfortable. I could ask for any better people to take care of Loki for boarding!

Don’t bring your dog here. The staff is rude, unprofessional and they are completely inflexible when scheduling your pets appointment.

Just called to cancel an appointment because we had to put my dog down over the weekend. The front desk personnel didnt even let me finish the sentence. “You could had left a voicemail yesterday. The appointment is in 5 minute”.

Called an hour before closing to see if I could get my pet in. Was told to come in 25 minutes and he would be seen. on the way over got a call that they closed soon and the vet on duty had already left 40 minutes early. The receptionist did give me vets near by that I could go to instead but because I was driving I asked her to send me the information she said she would but I never received anything. I understand that it was an hour till close is why I called to confirm. They could have let me know it was too late and I could go to a different facility. Fortunately was able to go to an amazing emergency vet near by (veterinary emergency group) who saw us immediately.

I had been taking my dog Basil to Hometown Animal Hospital (Pflugerville) for her care since 2016 when I got her. I had always liked the friendly staff and Dr Minor. Basil had Cushing's Disease so we were frequent visitors. Sadly, Basil passed away on 12/26/23. I had to take her to the VCA Urgent care facility on Burnet Rd to be seen, and it was discovered she had a brain tumor. The Vet and Staff at that facility couldn't have been kinder or more compassionate as I held her as she crossed the Rainbow Bridge.I am very disappointed that I didn't hear from Dr Minor or the VCA in Pflugerville after Basil's passing (yes, I notified them). For this lack of compassion shown, I will not take any future animals to this facility. I want a Vet that truly cares for the animals they treat long-term and that will acknowledge with a note or text to the pet parent condolences for their loss.In the future I will stick with smaller veterinary offices and not corporations that are only interested in the money. I don't have a complaint about the care she received, but if you want a truly caring veterinary office I would recommend that you go elsewhere.Update 1/7/24: After seeing my review, Dr Minor did reach out by card and e-mail, in a heartfelt manner that I very much appreciated. Losing a pet is always difficult and I hope all Veterinary practices realize that a small gesture, card/text/email, to the client when they suffer this loss can mean a great deal to that person in their time of grief.

VCA Hometown Animal Hospital takes great care of my kitties! Picked them up today after a week stay in boarding- my confident girl might be okay anywhere, but my boy is sensitive. The boarding staff went above and beyond. Thank you so much for keeping them safe and comfortable while we’re away.

Great vets and techs, plus I've never had to wait long. We take 2 dogs and 2 cats to this location. I trust them.

They take care of my 160 lb. Mastiff,Wei Yi Saranghe, with so much love. She's quite strong and I am elderly however the staff take her in to the clinic and to my van every time I go. They are so helpful. Wouldn't go anywhere else
