Lupita's Tamales is known for its great and delicious Mexican food, often described as tasting like grandmother's food, made with love. The tamales are a major highlight, noted as being so good, not greasy, and northern style—thin with a lot of exceptional flavor. They come hot and fresh in varieties like pork, chicken and cheese, and jalapeno and cheese. Many customers find them the best, better than other famous local spots. The tacos are also delicious, not over-greasy, and made fresh with eggs cracked right there. Other menu items like the gorditas, lunches, and menudo are delicious as well. The place is very clean and very nice. While the food receives high praise, the service can sometimes be slow, and during busy times like Christmas, the business operates only on a pre-order system, which has led to some customer frustration. Despite this, many find the people who work there provide great service and highly recommend the establishment.
Ordered some tamales ahead of time. So the time came to pick them up and they were NOT ready. I recommended this place to my co-workers but now we're sitting here starving. We'll NOT recommend again.

Tried the tamales compared to Delia's. The dozen is a dollar less but dry and really skinny. Sorry but Delia's is way better.

Nice hole in the wall spot. Food was spot on. Tortillas are homemade from scratch and they make you feel like your at the rancho. Great place to enjoy a great meal.
