We just had our baby shower here on the lake front Dining hall on October 21st and it was the most beautiful venue ever. The views of the lake from the patio all day and especially during/after sunset were amazing. We are going to be doing all our big events here going forward. Jennifer was so helpful, flexible and communicative throughout the whole process. The only downside is the distance/drive because it is a bit far from most cities in DFW but it is worth it once you get there. Cannot say enough about it. Highly recommend!

Very easy to get to everything is being rebuilt and modernized after the storm that destroyed so much.
Very nice people and will accommodate you and your needs.
If you get a chance you have to see the view it's amazing when you look out over lake Ray Roberts.
Rooms: All the rooms have been remodeled including new plumbing

Before we had extra bedrooms in our house, this was always where we sent family and friends who came to visit us in Pilot Point. It's the closest hotel by a long shot. Nice, clean rooms secluded in the state park right on the lake with beautiful views. Affordably priced. Have attended events here too in the lodge and it's very nice!

Hat's off to the staff at the Marina. The marina was not even open for business and they helped out a stranded boater. We had a downed engine and could not make it to the other end of the lake. The staff helped out with a slip and transportation to the other end of the lake. They made a bad day much better. The new marina looks like it is going to be fantastic when it opens! I wish all the best for their business. Great location at the other end of the lake with fuel and pumpouts!

We had a late check in and the hotel management called to check and made us a package. The lodge rooms themselves are basically the same as same tier hotels. Things I didn’t expect: window ac, small shower, and that they had shampoos, soap, face tissues, makeup remover, hangers, and plenty of towels, construction. They were hit by a tornado, so it was understandable and we didn’t spend the day in the hotel. I really loved the lake view in the morning and the dining area, and saw humming birds and a rabbit. Most hotel rooms don’t have a lake view. Half had a forest view. Maybe one or two can see the lake.
Great location for an event.
Nearby activities: 15 mins from Ray Robert’s State Park Isle Du Bois unit and 27 mins from the Josnson unit. Boat ramp 5 mins away.

I rented a Pontoon boat at Lone Star Lodge for my family. There were two polite healthy young men that help me load my gear from my car to the boat. Which made it easy.
My family all had smiles on them during this adventure.
I would like to write a big Thank you to Lone Star Lodge for allowing me to use their equipment, which helped me greatly in bringing my family closer for my wife's Birthday.

The big hall and back patio offer a mesmerizing view of the pristine lake, which is perfect for a scenic walk.

My friends and I rented a boat for my birthday and it was truly a 5 star experience! The weather forecast was sketchy and Rayni called me in the morning to check in and even gave us her personal number to make things go smoothly. She met us at the dock (still under some construction as of May '24) and made the process super smooth (everyone was able to sign digital wavers with phones). The boat was very nice and easy to drive. Luckily the weather held out and we cruised the lake, swam, and jumped off the top deck. Ray Roberts was not crowded and is such a clean, beautiful lake with lots of space. Thanks again Rayni!! 10/10 would recommend

A hidden gem of a place with spectacular views. Comfy cozy super clean rooms. All of the staff we encountered with friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again!

Our stay wasn’t terrible, but it could’ve been better. Walls are paper thin, the beds weren’t super cozy, and the outdoor lights were shining in through the window all night. However, watching the sunset over the lake was beautiful!
