I brought my truck into the shop to get a quote for them to install my new exhaust system I had bought, Scott the owner gave me a fair quote and was honest about the price. I went ahead and had them install it and I couldn't be more happy with the result, he had it done same day. It looks and sounds amazing, I went underneath to make sure it was installed properly and everything looked correct. Their staff was also super friendly and knowledgeable, they were able to answer any questions I had. Will definitely be coming back in the future, and I would recommend them to anyone.10/10

Had my new gears for my 2017 Tacoma installed here, Scott was able to give me a fairly accurate quote on pricing and how long it would take to finish. It's been 2 months so far and zero problems with the gears. Great communication and a very friendly staff!

If I could give Baldy’s negative stars I would. The guys in the shop are great and talented fabricators but the owner Scott is a clown and he absolutely screwed me. He quoted me a price for a custom frame and we got to that price and nothing was done but a model on CAD. He gave all sorts of excuses but it was obvious he knew he screwed me. I removed my vehicle from his shop this week. I wouldn’t even take my truck to him to have air put in my tire (if you aren’t capable of doing that yourself) because that would cost $28K for no air in your tire…..except he would have a model of it. There are many other custom shops in magnolia so please use someone other than Baldys.

November 2022 after viewing my car at his shop Scott quoted me 11,000 up to 12,000 and one to two weeks for the completion of a Muncie 4sp to Tremec 6sp transmission with a hydraulic clutch on my 1955 Chevy. The car was in their shop for over 6 weeks and the final invoice presented to me had the total at 19,006 and the car now has handful of new problems created by their shop conversion.Scott gave many different excuses for the delays and the increase in price such as “this is all time and material work sometimes this happens.”. Ultimately, he came down on his price to a bit over 15,000 and apologized for the low initial estimate. So many Issues on the car after/because of their work !!It took me 5 requests to finally get a very small section/copy of the parts invoice for materials and data to know exactly what I got and be able to qualify for the transmission warranty. This was a miserable, costly, and timely experience. I urge others to do their best to help mitigate these same issues from happening to you.Service: Transmission replacement

I had some work done on my 1998 Z28, Scott was very helpful in working with my budget. I couldn't be more grateful for the work they've done, I had brought it in for an engine swap as I don't have the time to do it myself. When I received my car back, they even went above and beyond to clean my car, including the interior. I highly recommend coming to see them.Thank you for reading-Jake Sunny

November 2022 after viewing my car at his shop Scott quoted me $11,000 up to $12,000 and one to two weeks for the completion of a Muncie 4sp to Tremec 6sp transmission with a hydraulic clutch on my 1955 Chevy. The car was in their shop for over 6 weeks and the final invoice presented to me had the total at $19,006 and the car now has handful of new problems created by their shop/conversion. Scott gave many different excuses for the delays and the increase in price such as "this is all time and material work sometimes this happens.". Ultimately, he came down on his price to a bit over $15,000 and apologized for the low initial estimate. Issues on the car after their work:1. They didn't order/install the optimum ratio transmission for my rear end. Now takes more effort to take off than my old Muncie and I'm in fifth gear from 70 to 85. Will have to replace my rear end for optimum performance.2. They tilted my engine back ~1.5 centimeters - doesn't sound so bad until you see my HEI is now scraping/touching the firewall. Will have to replace with a compact distributor system.3. They didn't align the starter to flywheel correctly - shredded metal every start. Now my brand-new flywheel is damaged. Took this back to them they shimmed it and Scott said I may have a bad starter.....it was perfect going in....I had to replace starter because it damaged the gear. 4. Seats weren't completely remounted because they over modified the tunnel. I had to add ~1" spacers to level seats.5. Missing access port cover on bellhousing adaptor. Per Scott there is not a cover for it. It's about a 1" x 3" open hole to the clutch (with an empty bolt hole) - it should be covered.6. Multiple new small scratches (over 10) around the car.7. They removed and reinstalled the headers the joint on the bottom was sealed before going in. There was a noticeable exhaust leak when picking up car. I had to reseal these connections.8. New dust cover for the flywheel/bellhousing has huge gaps in it. Will have to order/make a cover that fits properly.9. Speedometer was not accurate - Upon a return trip they fixed that.10. ~2" hole left in my firewall where old clutch was. I had to patch this hole. It took me 5 requests to finally get a very small section/copy of the parts invoice for materials and data to know exactly what I got and be able to qualify for the transmission warranty. This was a miserable, costly, and timely experience. I urge others to do their best to help mitigate these same issues from happening to you.
