I’ve banked at this location for the past 5 years. I never had a problem until this past year. As the bank was changing and under new ownership my account was compromised for $1,300. I spoke to the bank over the phone and was spoken to like a child, they told me I was “over spending” and that’s why my account was empty. There were charges made in Washington state and Dubai among other places I have never been. I made a trip to the bank and spoke to someone in person and she had me highlight every transaction that wasn’t made by me. The person who stole my bank information used me information 36 times in a 2 day period and HSB failed to catch the fraudulent activity. HSB also failed to reimburse me my money. This person stole $1,300 from me and HSB reimbursed me .80cents and then $1.26. My case was closed without me knowing about it. HSB has been a huge letdown and they have proven to me that my assets are not protected under their care. I will be going to HSB by the end of the week to retrieve whatever money I have and close my account down. I do hope everyone else has better luck with this bank. But happy State Bank had no interest in taking care of me or my assets. It makes me very nervous to leave my money in this bank, knowing if anything should happen they won’t be there to take care of me.

I've been a customer of happy state bank for a while now and I moved to plainview and this branch is so frustrating I give them my info which account to deposit my money into and they still end up depositing into someone else account not once not twice but 3 times and I'm sick of it.

I've tried really hard to be patient with all the changes that have recently taken place. However it's been a while at this point and it seems like I'm always in the drive through for 30 minutes or longer just to make a deposit when the lobby is closed. It's just all together frustrating as I'm sure the employees and everyone else feels the same.

If you don't look like you got money, this bank will treat you like you don't got money. Unfortunately this southern town in the south still makes minorities treat each other like second class citizens.

I've been with Happy State for many years. I appreciate all the workers. They are very helpful and nice. I have never had a bad experience in the 10 or more years that I've been there. My children bank there to. Nothing bad to say. Thanks Happy State for making banking easy.

I was a centennial customer, and my account benefits changed without my knowledge and prior to travel I asked if my international atm fees were still waived since that was what my account type entailed. They assured me they were. I went to Mexico and used my debit card at the atm and they charged me 4 different fees. Yolanda was my account officer and was told by someone in customer service she’d fix it. 2 weeks passed and it wasn’t fixed. I finally had to reach out to a lady name Jennifer B. in Lubbock and she waived the fees. I’m closing my account with them, because of their inconsistency. They then told me it was a communication error on my part, but they’d adjust the fees as a courtesy. This was the second thing that happened that didn’t set right.

this location does not have high security for anything!!!! Someone went dumpster diving and found one of my voided checks and cashed it in the drive through without ID!!!!! The president told me they don't ID through the drive through when your cashing a check!!!!!??????????? Now I've been after this bank for a few weeks and still haven't got anywhere with this incident!!! They want me to pay the money back into my account when this was ALL THEIR FAULT!!! The president told me that on that “PARTICULAR DAY†they were changing their cameras and they cannot find the person who cashed my check without an ID!!! Now I'm almost $700 negative in my account and I have to pay $35 fee for every time! She guarantees me when they find the person I won't have to pay it back and I'll have to go file charges!!! Like, for real?!? Why is this taking so long? Also why is your security not bumped up? Every other bank uses your ID to cash a check! Looks like I need to get an attorney!

Personnel are friendly, knowledgeable in their customer service. Good options for banking from individual accounts, business accounts, other types accounts.
