“They make some nice, artistic, but practical pieces of pottery that you can use everyday. Got some coffee (or tea in my case) mugs with nice bluebonnet artwork on them recently while paying a visit. I love the home they bought for his business, too, as it’s a designated “Heritage Landmark” in Plano’s history, namely Mary Schimelpfenig House (914 18th Street), as there’s always a history lesson learned while visiting the shop.”

“My sister and I wanted matching tattoos in my mother’s handwriting and got exactly what we wanted! My step daughter has been here to get her own tattoos and highly recommended this awesome place. The owner greeted us right away and he was so warm and welcoming. It felt like we had known him and he was just like family. Right away we felt comfortable and confident. It smells so good and has such a good vibe. Everything was top notch and done with care. The tools were even top notch. Overall just a great experience. We both highly recommend this place . The owner is very knowledgeable, an amazing artist and seems like an old friend. We are already planning our next visit! Thank you so much for such beautiful work.”

“A nice display of model trains. Reminds me of Roadside America from back home. Really worth the time and trip. Plus they have a nice set of trains outside on static display. Unfortunately the day I was there the weather was bad so I only got pictures through the fence. But they have a UP Big Boy steam loco and a EMD DDA40X, I believe, which is what replaced the Big Boy after steam was done. I really loved the 4501, hopefully I'll make it back someday.”

Elida and Sophia helped me to design the layout and framing for my project.....and when we found that they didn't have the exact frame I wanted in stock, Elida took the action to visit multiple local vendors until she found the perfect frame for me. The attention to detail in the final product was excellent and I couldn't be happier! This was a delightful experience from start to finish!”

“I am brand new to stained glass and I stopped in this store to look at some glass sheets and left with so much great information and feeling encouraged! There were two women who helped me with every question, had me practice some glass cutting, and gave tips and corrections in a kind and encouraging manner! They even helped me pick out a new used cutter, which has changed everything for me. Unfortunately, I live far away in the middle of nowhere, so I am unable to commit to the 7 (?) week long beginner workshop. I would have loved to come and learn with these people. However, they encouraged me to stop in whenever I’m in town and ask questions! I’m having to be self-taught due to location, and it was so helpful to get some hands on time with people with actual experience. All the employees I met were very warm and helpful, and I would recommend this spot to anyone. Learning something new is vulnerable, especially when surrounded by professions and experienced people, and it is so easy to feel badly about yourself in that situation. That was the furthest from my experience here, and even when I looked silly not knowing what I was doing, I was taught and encouraged lovingly!”
