AMAZING bookstore with the cutest gifts!! I love that profits from the Harry Potter books or gifts are donated to a trans charity!! They also have the CUTEST stickers which I have to buy one of every time I come by! The staff are super nice and always friendly!

What I love and appreciate most about Bibliobar is the fact that they graciously host a variety of one-time and recurring meetups focused on various genres and book-related topics. I discovered them through the monthly Banned Books Bash and am hoping to attend an upcoming poetry gathering. Of course they also sell books (including a decent selection of the classics and a dedicated children’s area) and stuff. Support your local—and locally-owned—book seller (in Downtown Plano, that’d be Bibliobar)!

Bibliobar is one of the most welcoming bookstores in DFW. Thoughtful curation, LGBTQ+ inclusivity, local authors, cozy vibes, and genuinely kind humans behind the counter. It’s the kind of place that feels like home the moment you step inside. Highly recommend.

Made a detour this beautiful Sunday afternoon specifically to visit this place on my way to pick up my kids from my in-laws and was greatly disappointed.
I fully expected there to not be much selection and it's small and still new but fully intended to buy something, even if it was just a little sticker.
Unfortunately I was so incredibly uncomfortable I didn't linger much longer than to just see what books they had. The door was propped open for the amazing weather and after lingering outside for a moment to look at their rack of books I went inside, in which two ladies who were at the desk immediately stopped chatting and stared at me. When I offered a small wave and smile the one behind the desk gave me a very tight lipped smile and seemed very annoyed I was there while the other started working on their book vases.
As I walked around looking at merchandise, the two women started chatting some more with each other, talking about needing to fill the vases so people would stop thinking they were real books and picking them up (they are absolutely super cute) but never once said a single syllable to me. If they weren't talking to each other it was dead silent until a group of young women came in. The lady behind the desk did say something to them, I'm not sure what it was, about bookmarks I think.
Anyway, I left without getting anything because it was so awkward.
I love love love small business in general but specifically small bookstores and I don't write this review to bash them. I hope they thrive! I'm more hoping they see this review and hear feedback on how freaking unwelcomed and unwanted I felt in the store, like my presence was an irritation and intrusion. I don't know if it was the owner or not in the store, but hopefully they learn in the very least how to say hello :(
Maybe they were just having a bad day.

This is an adorable bookstore in the downtown Plano area. I loved the selections and managed to find a series I have been wanting to read. The staff was really nice and told me all the tips about the NTX book crawl. They also sold adorable stickers and bookish merch. I definitely recommend making a day out of it as the bookstore is surround by local boutiques, coffee shops, and eateries.

Such a cute bookstore! The owner, Chelsea, is super kind, and fun to chat with. She gave me an ARC that looked interesting after I made a purchase. The store is quite supportive of local authors, and the stickers, bookmarks, and other fandom merch they sell are really fun and unique. I highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the downtown Plano area. It’s a well curated collection, and a great spot to look for gifts or books on unique subjects. Tons of signed copies of books. It’s also quick walk from Lemma or 1418 if you’re looking for a good coffee shop read. Go support your local indie bookstore! This place is worth it.

We had so much fun visiting this little bookstore in downtown Plano!
It's cozy and though it's not very big, it's not cramped.
It's worth a visit!
