Worse auto finance paying system in the world! They want to charge you a $8 service fee just for paying your bill using a debit card. Why tf would you charge me a fee for something that you got right away? Yeah I’ll be refinancing through someone else soon! I don’t even want to finish the terms of my loan now! I should be able to pay how tf I choose to pay as long as Capital One gets it!! Don’t finance a car through them go elsewhere ! They are only good for their credit cards! I’ll be sending their goofy azz checks going forward until I refinance elsewhere!

Headache if you want to drop co signer on title. Back and forth with wasted trips to dmv because these guys can't read. Letter stating they need them to sign release as co owner since a POA was granted and yet they can't sign or do anything right other than take money. It's a simple task but they can't seem to get that right. Once my title nightmare is finished I'll be looking elsewhere

DO NOT with this company. It’s not worth it. Very scummy and greedy. Car Hop treated me better throughout my loan with them on my first car.UPDATE: IM FINALLY FREE FROM THESE CROOKS! I will NEVER recommend anyone that I care about to them. Screw you COAF I hope you get what you deserve.

I dont have a loan with them and got a letter in the mail from them. No fraud department number to call for the auto finance department. I can not get them to remove my personal information they are selling. The phone number they give for that is for credit cards and they are not with the auto finance. I dont think this is in compliance with Federal law protecting consumers personal info. I have heard of dealer fraud and I am wondering if that is how I got a letter from this shady company

If I could give 0 Stars I would. These guys deserve to be demanded by a judge to release all liens on all cars that have a lien from these guys. Bunch of crooks. I been trying to get my lien removed off my car that has been paid off 20 years ago. They give you the run around consistently. Then told me they will fax to dmv only for dmv to say it’s not acceptable. Then they claim they will send overnight if you pay for it which I though is crazy as it’s not my fault they never updated it. It’s 2023 they can easily update electronically so that dmv will update my title however they do not want to do that. Then after I agreed to pay overnight after the 7-10 free shipping never showed up, I am still waiting and waiting. This place should really get shut down asap.

I’m pretty sure the reps just say they will do something and then hang up and never do it. I’ve been trying for OVER A YEAR to have my automatic payment align with my due date and it is never changed. I had made a manual payment in order to be ahead on my car to switch the dates which I was told to do and then the automatic payment went out TWICE that month (once for the old date and once for the new date). Essentially I had made my car payment three times that month. Putting me ahead but then my date never changed AGAIN. So I was have an automatic payment go out two weeks past my due date for over a year, which eventually kept pushing me back (unknown to me at the time) and recording as late payments. I take blame for not staying on top of them but it’s ridiculous that I have to call almost every day to ask someone to do their job. I could go on but best advice is to literally finance your vehicle with anyone else.

Capital One is the worst ever for banking, auto finance, and customer service. I financed a car one year ago, they never sent me my registration for my inspection and after being transferred 3 times within the Philippines, on hold for 40mins. I was told i have to go to DMV. The bank is a ghost who takes your money! Don't bank or finance it will be one of your worse nightmares!

The credit card app is wonderful and I've been able to pay my bills without any problem, but the auto loan portion of the app is garbage. I attempted to make a payment 3 times with the same bank account info that I use to pay my credit card and it got returned every single time. Their customer service reps could not help me either. Kept saying I was rejecting it or my financial institution was. It was neither of us. I called my bank all 3 times and they said they never saw any request from capital one. When I asked if I could just make a payment with my debit card over the phone to get it taken care of they said there was a fee they could not waive. That's ridiculous since it's definitely not my problem the app isn't working properly. They said there would be no fee involved when the account is 22 days past due and I call in to make a payment! So backwards. In the end, I never got to talk to someone higher up and I had to get my bank to cut a check and send it to them. Very disappointed that I'm going to have to do that every time. I might refinance with another company as soon as I can.

I can’t believe this company is even allowed to operate as is. I paid off my auto loan three years ago and called countless times, never to receive the title. I felt like I was speaking to a robot every single time I called. Maybe one out of fifty reps I spoke with seemed to even sympathize with me or want to be remotely helpful. I eventually just gave up completely and had someone else try to retrieve my title (for a car I paid off three years ago! Should be easy right?). This company has no respect for their customers and is just another greedy bank. I will never finance through them again.

usually customer service isn’t this bad but I talked to a lady today who had no idea what she was talking about and was extremely confusing. She was very rude and could not explain answers at all. I ended up hanging up because I couldn’t deal with talking to her anymore. I will have to call again tomorrow I guess and hope I’ll get someone that knows what they’re doing.

If I could give them zero stars I would. Their customer service is a total joke and not helpful at all. If incompetent were a group of people or would be them. I tried to get my address changed so they I could receive the refund check they issued me and hit transferred 3 times over a down of 25 minutes. The last one I got transferred to was the same person I spoke with about getting another title sent to my current address. Strangely, the letter they sent me to let me know my car was paid off went to me current address. But the title and refund check went to my previous address. I'm so mad right now!!

I’ve always love capital one auto financing until yesterday. So I pay weekly because that is what works for me, I’ve always payed on time and never missed a payment, well last week I called to see if I could skip that week (because I was affected by the recent hurricane) and then double up the next week and continue paying weekly, the rep I spoke with told me that that would be just fine, fast forward to yesterday I called to do just what I had discussed with the previous rep, just to be told that I to pay the payment in full and that there was nothing else they could do for me, well seeing that I pay weekly for a reason I did not have the full amount to pay, and a “supervisor” went on to also tell me there was nothing they could do when the rep I spoke with the previous week ensured me that it would be just fine. And had it not been I would’ve just let my account overdraft and dealt with it later, but no that is not what I was told, so now I’m left screwed because obviously someone doesn’t know how to do their job on their end and I am left with the $hit end of the stick, I will be finding a different financing company asap, and working at a dealership in financing I definitely will not be recommending them to anyone.

Rude, disrespectful and completely inconsiderate! I have done business with their credit card department for almost a decade and have only good to say about them! The auto finance department is the complete opposite! First off they are nearly impossible to actually get in contact with. Then when you do get a real person they are completely incompetent! Sending me texts that I'm late on my payment when I have the confirmation info from state farm verifying they paid off the entire loan! Yet capital one keeps texting that the payment is late and they just ignore that and turn off your notifications. Just so disrespectful and inconsiderate! I will never even consider doing business with them again!

Terrible customer service. Do not go through them for auto finance. I paid off my loan they said they were sending the title I've followed up multiple times and they said they mailed it via usps. I never received it and they claim they don't keep copies and would not produce a duplicate. They also wouldn't allow me to speak to a supervisor without waiting 48 hours for them to call me back. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional company. Other companies send title via FedEx or ups so you get a tracking number. Never use them for auto finance. I never will again.
