Deny, deny, deny. United Healthcare has approved a medication that I take.
My company switched to Cigna, and they won’t approve a medication I’ve been taking for a year. Terrible.

Cigna Healthcare’s office in Plano, Texas, offers a well-structured and professional work environment with excellent facilities. The office space is modern, and the team is collaborative and supportive. The company fosters a strong work culture, making it a great place to work and grow.

Literally the worst experience Ive ever had in my life - my son has Cigna Insurance and has needed tubes put in his ears urgently since May as he has had 6 ear infections in 2024 thus far. Tell me how Cigna does not have a single Pediatric ENT that is in-network for his insurance plan? Every time I call to complain they send me their in-network provider directory and Ive called every single doctor on that list and not a single one is actually in-network. False advertisement at its finest. Half of the doctors on their list dont even see pediatric patients and a good chunk are sleep specialists or plastic surgeons, not pediatric ENTs. Ive been trying to find a solution with Cigna since May, meanwhile my son keeps getting ear infections and is at risk of going deaf permanently if he doesnt undergo this procedure soon. Cigna assigned me a case manager whose best advice was "just put a different zipcode when your look up our provider directory". How am I to trust a company whose "managers" dont know how to help a customer in extreme need? And apparently Cigna has a terrible reputation with doctors because I was also told I could get out-of-network doctors to sign a network exemption form and every doctor Ive called about this form have said they refuse to sign this form because theyve had bad experiences in the past with Cigna and this form specifically. How is it possible that this company is still in business if no doctors are willing to work with them? All I need is an in-network Pediatric ENT and apparently thats too much to ask from an insurance company that advertises having a massive in-network provider directory. Will definitely be seeking legal action against this sham of an insurance provider.

Apparently no body is ever at this office. Big sign outside but empty offices. Waisted 1/4 of a day locating it and driving to it. 😡👎👎👎👎👎

Cigna refuses to pay for my tests until my doctor changes the diagnosis. Cigna was not in the exam room but they feel they know better than the actual doctor. I feel Cigna puts lives at risk by interfering in the medical process in the interest of their payouts. What is the point in paying if nothing is covered?

CIGNA = SCAMMER! If you’re thinking of an insurance provider, do NOT get Cigna. All of their plans are trash. I have the “LocalPlus® In-Network HSA qualified HDHP” and it covers absolutely NOTHING plus I pay them $120 monthly … for what???
Cigna, you’re trash, close your doors before you go out of business for robbing people.
Edit: The only “in network providers I’m eligible for” don’t even speak English. They don’t cover 95% of my medications. Don’t bother calling the automated hotline… *if* you do get a real person, you are on hold for 2-3 hours minimum, then they haven’t got a clue how to help you.

Cigna's Chief Operating Officer is an AI computer. Before you buy insurance from Cigna or Cigna stock, check out their online reviews to see how that management system is working (or not working). Customers (like me) vote with their $ which will eventually affect both their stock price and bottom line.

There are Many reasons as to avoid this company. basically: Cigna’s ONLY concern is to maximize its profits. If you have a choice do not choose Cigna, feels very scammy. I pay a lot of money and I am not sure what it’s used for since they don’t cover anything lol.

Never purchase Cigna. They misprocess claims constantly. Also if you just google search "Lawsuit Cigna" you will see they are constantly running afoul of the law for shady practices.
