Discovery Montessori Academy is a Montessori preschool, kindergarten, and lower elementary school for children from six weeks through third grade. The school offers a child-centered curriculum, believing every child is unique and grows at their own pace. Teachers nurture children's strengths and encourage them to reach new heights. Parents love the school and highly recommend it. They describe it as an excellent, great, and phenomenal place that is fun but education-focused. Children enjoy going to school each morning, showing smiles at drop-off and pick-up, and progress academically very fast, often ahead of their peers. The teachers and staff are caring, nice, great, very responsible, patient, and experienced. They pay personal attention to each student and take great care of the children. The school is organized, with great communication that is very responsive and way better than others. Staff regularly communicate via an app, in person, and through conferences, sending multiple updates and pictures throughout the day. The owner and principal is very attentive and accommodating to family needs. The Montessori method is used to teach kids. Chinese and Spanish classes are incorporated into the daily schedule. The school also has an After School Program for grades K-5, which picks up from Plano ISD schools and includes a free Chinese class. Parents are proud of how much their children learn and enjoy the language classes.
My son started weekend Chinese class since he was 3. We are so proud that he learned a lot Chinese words and Chinese pinyin. He really enjoy the class and the teachers are very patient and experienced especially Ms Linda. We will definitely recommend DMA to our friends.

My children attended DMA for over a year, and we were absolutely delighted with their progress, both in terms of academics and socialization. The individual instruction they receive in classes is plentiful, and the variety and quality of enhancement activities are outstanding. Highly recommended!

We have loved being apart of Discovery Montessori! Ms. Sophia has been an amazing teacher and our daughter loves her. They also use an app to give us updates through out the day on how our daughter is doing. We couldn’t be more happy!
