We've been taking drum classes with Rob Tovar for six months, and it's been a fantastic experience! He's highly proficient and has a remarkable ability to connect with children. He finds the best way to teach each kid individually, making learning enjoyable and effective. Rob is so patient and attentive! I highly recommend these classes to anyone looking to learn drums!

Taking private percussion lessons with Rob was awesome! He's super professional and so generous with his patience. I can't recommend my drum instructor highly enough. He was incredibly patient and had a remarkable ability to adjust his teaching style to fit my needs. Learning the drums had always been a dream of mine, but I didn't start until my late 40s. During a challenging time in my life, he was truly a godsend. My 9 year old had his first lesson with Nader at Drum Lessons by Rob Tovar today after previously taking lessons elsewhere. As we were getting in the car, he said "I like this place better already!" We talked about how much he learned in just one lesson and are excited to see his improvement as we continue lessons here! I also appreciate the clear and prompt communication from the owner, ease of scheduling and professionalism.

My son is a senior and has been taking lessons with Rob since 4th grade. Rob is a fantastic teacher and mentor. Rob does an amazing job not only teaching percussion but reading my child and knowing what he needs that day. A few times my son has shown up for a lesson after having a terrible day at school and Rob was able sense just what he needed to help change his mood. Rob is encouraging and motivation. He makes the lessons educational and fun. He is a true professional and I highly recommend him.

My son has thoroughly enjoyed working with Rob. His studio is amazing and he makes each lesson positive, engaging, and fun. He is professional and prompt to reply to questions or scheduling and he communicates well with the students. He is very patient with their excitement in a room full of fun things to hit with a sticks and is keeps them focused and attentive on the lesson he is teaching.

Robs the kinda guy you find only once in a long while. Has the talent at the set but also knows and does teach it well. Adult students will find a ton to learn from Rob no matter the level. He's also a really good all around guy and cares about each of his students progress and success.

Rob Tovar is an excellent percussion teacher. My ten year old grandson loves the lessons and is always excited to attend. Rob is very professional, experienced, and kind to both students and parents. I highly recommend Rob Tovar if you are looking for a professional and experienced percussion teacher who can relate to both students and parents.

Rob Tovar has been teaching my son drumset lessons off and on since 2012. His teaching style has helped him prepare for drumset audition videos for college of music applications. He supports learning from the best drum books and keeping on pace with each level mastered. I highly recommend him for middle school through college preparation. And did I mention that Rob is an amazing drummer himself? His students are learning from the best in Plano. He is patient and listens to the students' needs and then shows them the best way to learn. I highly recommend him to teach drumset.

If you’re looking for drum lessons, Rob’s lessons are the best you can get. I’ve gone to him for years for drum lessons and he has always been professional, fun, and just overall an amazing teacher. Rob himself is a super talented drummer who is very obviously dedicated to his craft and it’s a blast to work with him. 10/10
