We stopped by on a Friday evening to pick up a tri-tip steak. Despite the shop being busy, we were helped quickly and efficiently. We ended up getting a 3.5lb tri-tip, and the quality of the meat was outstanding—it cooked up perfectly and tasted amazing. Pro-tip: don’t leave without grabbing a whole pickle from the deli section, it’s a must-try! Great selection, fair prices, and friendly service—you really can’t go wrong here!

Where have you been all my life? This place was amazing! Went to stock up on tube meat for Memorial Day. Everything looked so amazing. I got two of these, three of those, and one of those. My order was all over the place! The dude behind counter patiently wrapped each type, wrote the pertinent info on top and started stacking my order in front of me.
Nary a once did he get short, snide, or huff while I made my choices. If I had to nitpick, it was loud from all the freezers etc. so it was a little hard for me to hear him. Project that voice my man! 10 of 10 customer service though. Thank you bro!!!!
Place is well lit, prices were excellent! I got out with 16 sausages of varying yummyness for only $33!!!
Oh yes, we will be back!
Update 8/31/24 - grabbed 12 of the shop made cheddarwurst sausages, the weekly special. What is Labor Day without homemade sausage goodness?
We also bought 3 of the pecan encrusted tilapia. Just had them for Sunday dinner and they were awesome!!!!! Thank you Hirsch's, I might start liking fish again.

Went there today to get some waygu home. I was standing for a whole time but no one bother to ask me if i need anything. There are guys doing nothing and waiting for the meat while other guy fixing the “meat tray”. None of them bother to ask me if i need anything. Bad service, won’t come back never ever.

I've been to Hirsch's several times and have been satisfied until my latest trip. I purchased some chorizo and also a couple of pounds of pork stew meat.
When I got my packages home and took the stew meat out of the package, I was shocked to see that its about 80 percent fat. For the price I paid, I expected leaner cuts of meat. Walmart has better quality stew meat and at less expensive prices.

5 stars??? Should be 6!!! Best place in Collin County for meat bar none. Go on Saturdays, Tommy will be serving their best. The problem is that you are guaranteed to buy what he's serving!!!It's so good!!! Love their 2" custom cut Iowa Chops. TO DIE FOR!!!

Wow!! As someone who has grown up here, it saddens me I haven’t been here sooner! My partner and I came here this morning because we have been feeling very unfulfilled with grocery store items. We walked in and it was clean, bright, and felt like home! Very appropriate prices, and just about everyone looked happy to be working there! We got the marinara, farm fresh eggs and the hot Italian sausage. As I was cooking this meal (not even 20 minutes ago) I could just SMELL the difference. I’ve never had a dinner bring me close to tears AND a coma. Wonderful food, wonderful place. It saddens me to know once I ship off to navy Bootcamp in August, I’ll be leaving this little place behind! I can only hope my family can mail me their goods while I’m away at sea. Thank y’all so much, genuinely from the bottom of my heart you are all doing something amazing here. Can’t wait to bring my mom next time! Lol! (I immediately signed up for their mail at the counter, can’t wait!!)

Came in on Wednesday to pick up sausage to smoke for a company BBQ. At the BBQ, the sausage was completely gone before I even had a chance to taste it. Fast forward to Saturday, I had to know why it was such a hit. Picked up 6 pounds of mixed flavors today, smoked it, rested for 20 minutes before slicing. I probably just ate about 1.5 pounds by myself, and the family is working on licking their plates. This is amazing quality meat and, as an avid BBQ enthusiast/amateur pit master, Hirsh’s might excite me more than anything new over the last 15 years. Highly recommended. Also, the staff is so friendly I feel like I walked into a mom & pop from 1985. Get you some.

When one lives in a community for decades, there are a few places you find that are so well regarded by everyone who lives near and far from them that they become known as institutions. I've spent most of my life in Plano at this point, and Hirsch's meats has been here literally forever. It is by far and away the best place to buy meat in the area. Not only that, it also has the friendliest and coolest staff, and is run by the coolest owners. I have never had anything but a positive interaction with Mrs. Hirsch. She is so sweet and awesome. I now take my little 20-month old there almost every Saturday morning with me, and we look forward to it every week! Keep up the great work y'all, we all love you!
