The gentleman working in the RC section was very helpful. I came in a bit unprepared but he was able to direct me to the correct battery and adapter I would need to get my TRX up and running. Also was able to assist with propeller questions. The TRX is running! And the flight with the propeller on the plane worked great. Both things he assisted with were perfect. Really cool store also. Final note the battery was actually cheaper at the store then the price on Amazon.

The store is nicely organized and has a good layout, but the staff is unhelpful and not very friendly. The parts guys in the back seemed annoyed and didn’t seem familiar with the parts. This place has been around forever, so I doubt they’ll change, but some staff retraining would definitely help improve the experience.

They charge more than their website and unlike the other hobby towns in the area they do not price match their website. No loyalty programs, no military discount. Staff is blunt and unhelpful. They are not welcoming to children. Save yourself the time and go to a different location.

Overall, the place is rad. I was just disappointed that they didnt have panel pens in stock. (The main reason I went.)

GO TO ANY OTHER LOCATION
Would definitely recommend going to any other location as this store preys on unknowing customers with higher prices.
I went to pickup a rc part listed on the Hobby Town website. Older gentleman that helped would not match the price online. Then told me I was not able to order online and pickup at this location was not possible (was definitely possible as I could set the location to pickup). Then proceeded to tell me that a tariff just happened and he had to raise the prices and the stickers are newly put on according to hobby town policy. Which is also false as I called several surrounding stores to confirm. Everything I looked at was priced higher than surrounding hobby town stores. I was beyond astounded to be blatantly told false information while be talked down to.

Phil in the RC department helped me fix XMAXX he took the time to look over things gave me some knowledge on why I was burning through some gears. Great attitude great help my son finally got to do some bashing yesterday so thanks Phil. You put a smile on my son‘s face and maybe I don’t have to come in every day anymore lol. All the guys up here are great. This Is my go to spot? They have a lot of other cool things in there and Very well organized glad I found y’all

Wow....never going back. They DO NOT honor their own price tag on the product. They do NOT HONOR VETERANS in any way
I will never shop here again. Very poor customer service. All my business going to Dallas Hobby Town now, where they honor veterans and match prices
