I’m not sure where the good or bad reviews come from… Education IS a privilege and honestly choice isn’t. I agree that you can learn a lot from here but what do you mean by “quality?” The quality is just the same as the other low quality Chinese “daycare” it is a dirty abomination but if you care about it it’s your opinion I don’t care if it’s dirty or not. And about the gifts If you like the field trips and movies that’s just your opinion but I’m still grateful you get these gifts for free. So in conclusion, Huayi is ok.

Let’s get straight to the point — this place isn’t great and definitely needs some improvement. The work they assign does help students get better grades, but the environment itself is lacking. The building is dirty and old, and the classrooms don’t even have windows.
The teachers can be strict or mean sometimes, like most teachers, but overall, they’re generally nice. However, in both the school and bathrooms, people often find cockroaches and bugs. While they did repaint the walls, kids still draw and write profanities on them.
The supplies they provide are quite old, but they do the job. The books are outdated and boring for most kids, though you can occasionally find a decent one. The facilities also need renovation — the gym has many dead spots, and the game room is filled with worn-out equipment.
Now, let’s talk about the food. It’s not very healthy or delicious. If you look at their menu, it mostly consists of fast food and, sometimes, what seems like fake Chinese food. And let’s not even talk about the sandwiches…
In general, you should weigh the pros and cons before deciding to send your kids here.

I’ve been a student here a long time ago. It’s not horrible and quite fun. However, I’d agree with the 1 star reviews. Mid teachers who don’t love their jobs, dirty bathrooms, old classrooms, stupid weekend schools. However, i would rather send my kids here than have them stay home doing nothing.

Trust me, I'm not one of those Asian parents that want to convince other Asians to go to this afterschool/summer camp or those 5th graders thinking their so cool for leaving a 1 star review. This is going to be my honest opinion about the pros and cons of this school.I first want to apologize as I made a really untrue stereotypical review
That was wrong of me do as this place is awesome I'll stop talking about personal opinions and get into the facts now. As you look at the pictures of HuaYi It looks like a dirty, old abomination of a place to be in.But you cannot blame the HuaYi staff, as they all work long and hard to clean the bathroom, give us parties, fun events, and maybe a free gift every once in a while. These teachers can explain the Math, Reading and Chinese topics in a fun way, with a wide variety of languages to choose from. HuaYi has a large variety of afterschool clubs ranging from athletic clubs like basketball or ping pong to brain enhancing clubs such as Chess class and Critical Thinking. Their is lots of entertainment at this afterschool from amazing fieldtrips to a movie to a gym and a room dedicated to play. Chinese schools like HuaYi, TongXing, STEAM education center, and QD academy often get looked down on for being old full of mean teachers and etc. But each and every one of these schools are amazing with friendly staff.

After many years, I realized that Huayi is actually quite helpful to my kids. My kids got higher STARR test score while in Huayi. And Ms. Yi is a responsible person who truly cares about the kids.

Don't send your kids here! The place is super dirty, old, and the classroom don't even have windows! The teachers are mean and only give students a worksheet to do. The younger students are evil little retards, once they flooded the boys bathroom making the entire school flood. In the school people often find cockroaches and bugs. They repainted the walls but kids still draw on them. The supplies and books are old and boring to read. In general, you should just not send your kids here.

The facility is super old, dirty and dark. People go there because it's super cheap and make students learn a lot of things, but the class rooms/restrooms are filthy and without any windows. Suggestion to owners, don't be so cheap and renovate the whole place please, I would rather pay more if the place were cleaner and newer!!!

the chinese is way too easy and the 10th graders who take chinese show off way too much and they have bloated egos...Chinese teaching is too simple, the teachers have bad tempers, speak substandard Chinese, and the senior students are mentally retarded and bully their younger classmates. People here are hypocritical and always change their faces. I'm really impressed! !Be it here or QD Academy, don’t go there! Will step on thunder!(Don't go here OR go to QD. Both are horrendous in their own right.)

Not sure where does the bad reviews come from... Education is a privilege and choice and not a right. If it doesn't fit you, just move on. It's mostly a place for after school/weekend/summer learning, especially on Math and Chinese. Both my kids spent years there and learned a lot over that period of time. I honestly think we're fortunate to have after school services of this quality and size because DFW especially Plano has large enough population thus enough people want their kids to learn.

This place is trash. The only thing I can say is that, despite the other low quality Chinese daycare around here, this one has to be the worst. The teachers are always incredibly mean.
