They used to be the best pool service, but they started overcharging and not only quit doing free estimates for work, but they charge exorbitantly. I was quoted $175.00 just to come look at installing a pool controller and it wouldn't be refunded if I chose them. They insist that this is industry standard but I've had my pool 29 years and never in my life met anyone else who charges to quote a job. I've already had 3 recent free quotes on the work and have chosen someone else, all were free. I also have repairs and work to do occasionally on a pool this old, no one from brick layers, to stone masons, to leak detection companies, electricians or other pool companies have ever wanted to charge to look at a job and quote it. These people are no longer an option for me. They have became Charlatans.EDIT: They don't know who their customers are, either. Pitiful people trying to discount their appalling behavior by denying they speak to or help anyone. But, you will notice that their reply doesn't deny or refute ANY of my complaints!! In fact, look at the pettiness in their replies to people who left less than favorable reviews below. There are many, and in each case they try to reprimand the owner on and on for back pool maintenance and other unrelated issues, but don't address the actual complaints of their poor service. Run away from these crooks and childish people! If there are problems, they will be a problem and not support you. Always trying to pass the buck, never taking responsibility!

Best place in the area for liquid chlorine. Buy 10 get one free. Checkout is quick and they will help load heavy buckets for you. I’ve been using them for years and never had a complaint with employees or products.Stacy even let me know about a big sale on something I would need in the coming weeks saving me time and money.

Alan did an excellent job getting our new Jandy variable speed pool pump installed! He was timely and professional throughout the process. Lisa did a great job getting us a deal on the pump and getting our order squared away quickly and efficiently. Will definitely contact them for future pool work!

Very unprofessional and unfriendly. A clerk was helping me trying to find a part for me but some lady ( make be a manager) came out, grabbed the seal from the clerk and asked her to go back to what she was doing with an unprofessional actitudes and no intention to find the part but in a hurry to get me out of the store.We’ll never buy from them again.Update: Went to Poseidon Pool Supply on Custer and Parker and they got me my part in 5 minutes.

If you expect accountability for services they provide look elsewhere. They will not own their repairs and tripled the diagnostic fee, as Lisa the store manager said, they are the only ones servicing Maytronics cleaners so they can.You can and should stay away.*** response to owner - First, I have never asked for anything for free. Also, the diagnostic fee that was provided to me was $99, not $35 (which is what it used to be). Second, it doesn't matter how many times I came in to the store, your repair lasted less than a year. service, responsibility and respect is something that as a business owner you should embrace and have your employees embrace.Your responses to reviews that share feedback you do not like demonstrate your poor tolerance to listen to your customers.

Pinch A Penny has been my go-to pool store since they opened in Plano. The personnel are very knowledgeable and helpful. I mainly come in for water tests for which I get a detailed printed report listing everything I need to do to keep my pool crystal clear. When I need supplies or equipment such as a new pump and filter system, an automatic pool cleaner and all pool chemicals and accessories, I get them from Pinch A Penny. I don’t shop around because I know they will take care of me.Pinch A Penny took care of my pool while I was gone for five weeks this summer and it looked perfect when I returned.I always bring my little dog with me. He’s so excited to come into the store because everyone greets him and Lisa, the owner keeps treats for him.I consider the staff at Pinch A Penny like family. It’s a great company to do business with! I give them Five Stars!
