The employees at these stores are bullies to disabled people, the guy was nice till he found out I was on disability, then he disrespected me, I'm not sure what kind of training these people get, unless they're trained to be mean to us disabled folk, it sure felt like it.

I have been a customer since 2007 and have never been disappointed. The employees are always polite, knowledgeable and patient. They are also understanding when personal issues arise. They are appreciated.

Received this afternoon have been a customer about 2 years my payment is due today I will be contacting corporate the level of disrespect on the same day the payment is due is unreal especially considering our items are Iverson half paid off. Lancaster pa columbia ave store. The reason it declines is behind I keep my cards locked !!

The store on Preston hwy in Louisville Kentucky is the worst Rent-A-Center I have ever dealt with I made an online order they said it would be delivered on Saturday it never happened come Monday morning I'll call and they said it would be delivered between 1:00 and 3:00 on Monday they gave me a runaround all day Monday on Tuesday they said it will be here between 11:00 and 2:00 never happen around 3:00 they delivered the washer and dryer that was damaged I call a different location speak to their manager that manager is very helpful it was supposed to bring me a new washer and dryer I've been waiting 2 and 1/2 hours now they still haven't showed and won't answer the phone they only have two women and employees there and when the delivery driver got here it was a female that needed help bringing in the washer and dryer very unprofessional and I will be talking to the regional manager as soon as possible

I got a 3 pc bedroom set that’s was on sale for $500 something call 5months don’t remember was last year 9/15/23 I made those payments on time and before the deadline I add a mattress they add something call early option deal where I’m now still paying on the bedroom set not including the mattress it don’t take a person 11 months to pay off $500 I keep calling the store speak wit the manager he keep saying he going look at it and give me a call back something needs to be done they call your phone banging on your door for a payment but not trying to respond or resolve the issue to think I wanted to get a living room set I change my mind I need someone from higher above to investigate my account please

On today I received a visit form One of the drivers and while he was knocking, he was pressing at my keypad and wiggling my door knob trying to get in so I call the location that I received my furniture from to speak to the manager about the situation and how that is unacceptable and his response was” When are you going to pay?” I explain to him how his driver was trying to enter to my house while there was no one home and I am at work and his response is “ Well, he didn’t get” Unprofessional did not show not one bit of concern that his driver was trying to enter to my house And when I repeatedly told him he was trying to get in by wiggling my door knob and pressing the keypad on my door. He said” he was just knocking “ And I told him I have it on camera that his driver was trying to enter my household. He then changes it up.saying “ well, at least he didn’t have a crowbar to your door or window or anything “ his name is James and consistently unprofessional when I spoke to him as someone that is a manager at a Place of establishment this was extremely unprofessional so no concern to any of the situation that I was bringing to his attention consistently brushing me off about the situation and Being rude I cannot understand how I am putting money into a business that is OK with management being like this and when I asked him who was his manager and what was his managers name he said which one I have so many when he knew exactly what I meant. I hope to hear back from at Least the corporate office because this is something I am not letting go extremely unprofessional and not OK

My family and I recently moved to North Central area of west Virginia. It took everything we had to get out here. Including leaving things behind and selling things to afford the move. Everyone we haveet had been wonderful. So we went online to see if we could get a washer and dryer from rent a center in Fairmont store. We were approved. My wife included all of her personal information. Social. Numbers. Everything. I used my card to make the initial payment. We were excited to get approved and even more so that they had an online special deal. Meaning our set up payment was only $6.73. Which they deducted. We set up app and online account as was suggested by rent a center. We got a delivery date. We opted for monthly payments. So in the approved application. We paid the first week payment. Then saw the payment schedule. Mind you, the items were $19.99 per week. So the monthly payment schedule was $126. Payment. Tax. Fees. As well as some bogus protection plan for $13 per month. Which you can't opt out of initially. The delivery date was set for 2 1/2 weeks after applying and paying first week. Which coincidentally was one day after the first month payment was due.So they get 5 weeks of payments before we even see the items. We then received a call from the store. Telling my wife we needed to read the fine print. The only acceptable form of proof of income is a paycheck stub. Not social security. Not child support payments. An actual pay check stub. Giving you information now to our social security number. Phone number. Address. Work. Basically everything. So we are actually denied. Rent a center approves you online. Takes your money. Then calls and denies you. I have the offer letter for my new job. Including payment schedule and signed documents of employment. Just haven't received frost check. And child support (for example) isn't acceptable. Something paid through a government agency isn't acceptable. With years, in most cases, of proof of regular payments. But I can work a job. Get a first check and quit when I get the check name that is acceptable. So I called the local rent a center. Was told all of this. So I asked for a refund of money that shouldn't have been taken until the final accepted forms were signed. I was told by Sheila. We only paid $6.73 be sure we took advantage of the online first week for a penny deal.as of I'm not important. They said they would refund the money. Few days passed. No refund. I emailed rent a center. No reply. No refund. It's bad enough they take advantage of folks that don't have great credit. My research shows an average of 3 times the value of the items after full payment schedule. That falls in the realm of a house payment schedule. But the harassing calls. Unauthorized payments form cards. Beating on doors. Harassing at work. Should be criminal. I know it's only $6.73. But it's the principal. We will just continue to go to Laundromat until we are set up here. Then purchase through alternative means. I will however be filing a fraud complaint with my bank. Since rent a center refuses to not only refund my money., but also doesn't reply to attempts at communication. I will possibly be looking at compensation above the charge. As I will have to cancely card. Making it impossible to use my account until a new card arrives. Very disappointed. Poor business practices. Even worse on the business practices level. As I'm seeing on the reviews. The best I can hope for is a "digital" reply. You guys don't even have the decency to give us the courtesy of a human response.

The sales persons were nice. Nareefa is the person to work with, so helpful and insightful. The furniture was good quality as well. My only issue was the excessive calls, texts, and emails when a payment is missed. You will get many reminders in a day and also daily. You may even get get a letter that your furniture will be picked up! After one late payment! A bit excessive, stressful, and annoying for me. Especially when you’ve been paying consistently and almost finished. They will note the account if you advise them of your circumstances however I found this to be too high of pressure.
