Excellent staff. Knowledge and caring. This is a wonderful place full of wonderful people who really care and engage all ages in the various programs and camps. It's a great place to check out for all ages. They have a beautiful new gym and great game rooms for kids and fun activities for kids and adults. The social groups are great for kids women and men of all ages. There's something for everyone.

This salvation army store could be the worst. The managers are pricing furniture and household items which they receive for free in donations more expensive than the price if new with free delivery. The scam plays in offering an alleged 25% discount later on special days. The best I can describe this particular store is an ill-managed and poorly staffed scam of a for-profit business disguised as non-for-profit

I took part in the Angel tree program by volunteering to help as families picked up their gifts. Overall, the program is great. However, I was disappointed to learn that a mother who was not allowed to include her unborn child during registration, and had given birth after the sign up, but before pickup was denied assistance for the infant when she arrived to pick up for her other child. Another volunteer asked Leuitenant Baca if they could accommodate the mother and she was told no. While I understand there are rules, I don't understand denying assistance for the child when there were items readily available for a newborn not assigned to anyone. Not to mention we were doing last minute shopping that morning for late sign-ups. There were diapers available as well as clothing that could have helped the mother. ?

This review is for the Salvation Army Family Stores. I went to both the Dallas store and the Plano store. I think it is so sad they ruin the clothes that are donated to them with their careless tagging of the items.I realize the prices are cheap, but to destroy perfectly good clothing by punching the price tags right through the clothing is shameful. What a waste, shame on you Salvation Army.Would love to visit these stores often to support their cause, but will have to shop at other Thrift stores.

Every Salvation Army is a refuge of hope and a pillar of strength to those in need. The Plano Salvation Army stands out among others. I'm certainly biased, but it's true. Everyone there just cares. The programs they're implementing to help the community are impressive, and humbling. I am grateful and honored to be a part of it!
