Dropped off my clothes on Thursday and asked that they be ready at 4 PM on Friday so I would have them for an event. Even though the sign says “same day service” you would think 24 hours is reasonable to meet this expectation. I even offered to pay extra, to which I was told not to worry, they’d take care of it. 4 PM Friday rolls around and I call and am simply told they’ll be ready at 5. My event is at 5. No apology offered, not a care given that they had failed to meet expectations. It’s funny that the sign literally says “EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS.”
I know my business is but a drop in the bucket so I’m sure it’s no loss to them, but I have no intentions of returning here.

This is no longer the on-site service Star Cleaners we used for 20+ years. It's now just a front-end drop off counter for cleaning services done who knows where and by who knows who. At 10:00 AM this morning the entire store was dark and silent except for one person working the counter. Times have changed.
The man working the counter did not appear to know anything about the laundry or dry cleaning business. After he fumbled with the register for about 5 minutes we did not feel we could trust him to enter the services we wanted correctly. We took our laundry and dry cleaning and left. Time to find a professional on-site cleaners again.

These people took my Filson virgin merino worsted wool shirt that I paid $150 and laundered it. Shrunk it so bad. They couldn't care less. Could have given me credit or something but didn't even care at all. I would not have brought them anymore quality garments anyway. Stay away. No good people. They charge top money and wreck your valuable clothes.

They lost a $200 dress of mine back in March. I asked them multiple times to look into it and they never had an answer. They also never gave me a refund. I've been a loyal customer since 2007, and this is how they treat their loyal customers.

These people promised me the cloths will be available before my business trip but when I got there they only had half of my cloths ready. The guy on the front did not even say sorry. I was so upset with his rudeness. I asked if I could talk to the owner , and he bluntly said no. Asked me to come next day. I went there after my business trip to collect the remaining clothes. They have all the cloths except one shirt. This was my new shirt that I worn only 2 to 3 times. After many calls to the store and talking to 3 different people, including the owner, they finally accept they lost the shirt. It took more than a month to declare that the shirt had been lost and had no apology. Now they are offering me half the price of what I paid for. I am very upset customer and will take my business somewhere else. I would say stay out of this place as you ask for trouble and zero customer service.

It seems that this cleaner has changed ownership and the prices have increased dramatically. It is no longer the pleasant, modest and affordable cleaner that it has been for years. I was shocked by my last bill (over $11 for only 4 shirts!), and now i am going to another cleaner.

My family has had Star Cleaners handle our dry cleaning for years. They've always done amazing, professional timely work served up with extraordinarily friendly customer services. They kept at this level of quality in service even as the Covid cutbacks in business cut back their business. I can always count on a warm and friendly hello, help to and from the car, and a warm and friendly discussion while they collect a return our clothes. Recently, they taught off these years of great service with the deed of great generosity. Our family has been helping an elderly disabled neighbor without family who has struggled since his wife died a few years ago. Cleaning his home in anticipation of his discharge from hospitalization, we discovered several closets full of dirty laundry apparently accumulated since his wife died. Apparently his physical limitations prevented him from addressing the laundry and it just built up. The resulting more than two truckloads of laundry was overwhelming.I'm sure where to go for a solution, I contacted my friends at Star Cleaners. I was overwhelmed by the response. Not only do they have a great laundry service, they charitably arranged a substantial discount that I can only hope is breakeven for the services. Certainly the service wasn't reduced in anyway. The laundry had been sitting for a long while, contained some dirt that many cleaners would be reluctant to handle, and in many cases required extra treatment and care to remove stains, mildew, and other issues. Despite these challenges, the Star Cleaner family provide Cadillac service salvaging virtually all of the linens, dry cleaning, clothes, and other laundry with the same meticulous care and detail as one would expect for much valued antique wedding dress or a priceless designer gown.If you or your family need dry cleaning or laundry for your every day needs or for some special item, I encourage you to check out Star Cleaners. Their prices are affordable but their service and quality are off the charts.
