If you’re considering purchasing a custom closet option like Preston, I strongly advise you to LOOK ELSEWHERE.
We invested a considerable amount of money in their previous “top-of-the-line product,” Laren. Unfortunately, the store is no longer able to support or customize anything related to Laren. I was deeply surprised to hear this. We need to make minor design changes, BUT we are unable to do so after spending a significant amount of money, time, and energy into this closet. Deeply disappointed. PLEASE DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THEIR CUSTOM CLOSETS.
This is not a reflection on the staff at this location - the staff is amazing and have helped me numerous times.

What a rude encounter with the cashier - yuck. I had an item at checkout & patiently waited for her to acknowledge me at the register. “What do you need” was her initial engagement, to which I responded, ‘I’d like to check out’ and she gave me a crass ‘well, I’m over here’. Shocked at her aggressive tone, I left my item on the counter and walked out. Are there no kind/well-mannered people able to be hired? Looking forward to taking my business/money elsewhere.

The customer service here is extremely lacking. I was walking in to make an exchange and the first words I hear to me as I’m putting items in a cart are “do you need something”. Followed by her speaking to me with her back turned when I told her that was rude treating me like I’m less than a person. This is a very unwelcoming place.
The service I received from Kathleen who helped me after was great. Maybe hire more people like her to be at the front so that you bring more customers in and not deter them with the individuals you have present now with their poor attitudes

Tim was awesome!! Went above and beyond helping me calculating measurements and walked me over to another area of the store with even better containers. Also searched the store for silicon cupcakes. Grateful!

I love The Container Store, or shall I say loved. I remember being able to spend hours perusing through organizational items and coming up with ideas for various things.
Now, the store is so overpriced and less inviting, I may as well stick with Amazon. Sorry that a simpler time has passed.

Diane was such a great help in building our dream custom closet at the store. She was patient and gave us a lot of ideas on what would look good. This is our first time building a custom closet and couldn’t imagine doing this with anyone else!

Customer service is absolutely shameful. I placed a curbside order on a weekday morning simply because I’m in the middle of traveling and moving with pets in the car. I had 5 small items, but I understand it’s a price you pay of curbside ordering if it’s not ready the same day. I called to checked on the order as it had been about 6 hours, and the employee kept repeating “well we’re really busy on weekends.” I stated, “it’s Wednesday.” And she said “Wednesday’s are okay.” She then checked on the order and updated me that it wasn’t ready and, again, repeated, “weekends are really busy.” I understand, hung up the phone and received a text minutes later that it was ready. I arrive and give the description of my vehicle and park directly in front of their door labeled “pickup orders.” Again, I have pets in the car or I would’ve easily walked inside. I received another email stating, “your order has been picked up.” I waited about 20 minutes, and went in the store. The one person up front was walking a couple to the back and the couple said “shouldn’t you help these other customers first.” And the employee states, “no, they can all learn a little patience.” Another customer and I were discussing our poor experiences thus far when the employee returns and states “I hear someone is mad about waiting on their online order so what do you want.” I explained my situation and she said “well I never received a notification and didn’t know you were here.” Again, my very obvious vehicle that they asked for a description of is sitting right in front of her door. She then points to my package that is sitting directly next to her. It’s not a big deal at all if you can’t order curbside, but don’t deceive customers with it and then get upset when you’re doing your job of customer service. Telling customers to learn patience when they’re quietly waiting in line is not the way.

The Container Store in Frisco, TX designed our closet and we are thrilled with the results. Through the process everyone, from the designer to the installers were extremely professional, very knowledgeable and worked hard to deliver the perfect closet. Special shout out to the area manager, Beth. We had a minor issue with the design and parts, and she stepped in and resolved the issue, including personally delivering the correct parts to our house. Do not hesitate to contract your dream closet with Container Store, you will not be disappointed!
