You know your getting old & cranky when you're writing bad reviews about a grocery store, but whatever... Here goes! Their deli meat selection is the puniest I've seen. We got bad lunch meat there twice. (Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me!) we actually went back after the first time we got bad meat & it was bad again. Then...the produce stinks! For simplicity sake I grabbed a bag of oranges that it looked like they assembled. All of them were bad! I think they hoped to get rid of the bad ones- so they put them together so they could bring out the good ones. Anyways, Kroger down the street has been a much better option for us & I think we will stick to it from now on. Rant over! Getting my grocey check out amazing customer service Jalen and David thank you two cause i was very upset with this store overwive Jalen and David had me laughing and took care of me and making sure i had my items i forgot ask to speck with the manger cause of bad deli foods. Only thing i had good service is checkin out and the store is bad.. This Store never have any items in stock i spoke with Store Director Kevin Schroeder about 4 week ago about not having milk in stock why is that every other store have there in stock and this store only one dont have sh!t . The bullsh!t i heard from him saying the warehouse is out they havent getting any. Now that i have came week ago about same sh!t He gotta be wrost store Director in history. 5968 W Parker Rd Plano, TX 75093I only giving rating 3 cause amazing service i had in the front end check out.

I have almost given up on this store. True Kroger across the Tollway is way better in every way from employees to stocking. They always have friendly employees willing to help and they serve the customers. Better layout better look. Most importantly is the willingness to make it right for the customer, They don't argue with them or belittle them about ad discounts. I went for the 1.99 chicken breast and some other things but no sale was found so I Went to the butcher and asked about the sale He looked confused so I showed him the ad & he too said he didn't know. I got it hoping the clerk would fix it. She had to call Jalen the manager who could have easily fixed but seemed uninterested and bothered. Came then looked at the ad as if it was new to him He then took the chicken back to the butcher was gone for awhile. Then returned with the price changed. This isn't the first or last time I'm sure, this evening manager is rarely in a good mood. I've been shopping at this store for over 3 years and am amazed he is still there. Maybe he would be better served in the stockroom or online shopping, away from interacting with customers. I actually have avoided this store because of lack of staff and the rude staff it does have. Prices are not accurate and some of the staff aren't very helpful. This store needs undercover Boss to be reminded who is responsible for keeping them in business, the customer. This store is the Mc Donald's of Tom Thumb's. & Kroger's across the street is the Chick Fil A of Kroger's. Excellent! Hope TT really gets this sorted out. Someone is dropping the ball at this store.

Ribeye Steaks on special, meat cuts are DECEIVING at best. Two nice steaks cut on top of the pack and two odd looking boney pieces under that... What a shame... 800 number to no help. Buyer beware

Ever wonder why Kroger just across the tollway is always packed and the lot at Tom Thumb is always empty?Well today was another example. The weekly Tom Thumb ad promotes chicken breast for $.99 a pound. We get there look around and can't find the advertised special everywhere. So we ask the butchers and they advise that "oh yeah that sold out the first day." Third time this has happened to us where a special was advertised but not available when we get there. So you lost out on our whole shopping cart of profit and a customer for good. Third time is a pattern, not a mistake.

Really appreciate management opening the self-checkout lanes when the store opens in the morning. Very helpful. They used to not open them until 8am but it's been so much easier with them open now. That said, I've talked twice with Store Director Kevin about the issues he has with the freezers. I got food poisoning and had to go to the ER a while back because they are getting too warm and too much humidity. Called Albertsons corporate who directed me back to the store management. They are aware of the issue but so far have not provided a permanent fix. You will notice that many of the doors in the frozen food section have a ton of humidity on the glass windows and that the ice cream has a ton of frost on the cartons. Wish Kevin would do something to permanently fix it but I'm going to Walmart and Kroger for my frozen foods for now and getting the non-frozen foods from Tom Thumb.

Our daughter wanted two ice cream cakes for her birthday party. Ben was amazing, talking directly to her to make sure he understood her "vision." The cakes were supposed to have printed images on them but the printer broke so Ben had to decorate them himself and they look better than photos from the book. Our daughter said he deserves a raise. He and Michelle are so positive and friendly. It's a total Ted Lasso vibe in the W. Plano bakery and we love it!

I came in after being at three stores needing change to be made for my daughter for a school project she had, Jacqui was beyond nice and accommodating I cannot thank her enough. Her kindness was so much I don't normally shop here but will start to now.

This Tom Thumb is just laid out weird. I have 2 Tom Thumbs really close to where I live and they are both laid out much better. I was shopping for the Tom Thumb Organics brand kettle corn and i have been having a hard time finding it on the shelf local to me so I thought I would try a TT further away. No luck. It must be a supply chain issue. I hope they are not discontinuing it! It is so good. Their regular sea salt popcorn is good also. I also thought I would buy some meat to cook for dinner tonight. They had a good selection and it looked good so I found a package to purchase. But, there were no plastic bags to be found anywhere in the meat department. I had to go halfway back in the store to the produce department to get a bag to put my package of meat in! The employees that I came in contact with all seemed nice and friendly.

When Safeway bought Tom Thumb we saw a lot of changes. The deli was the most significant with the loss of name brand Boars Head. Prices don’t seem very competitive either in an area like 75093 which is saturated with grocery stores. BUT I love this store for the pharmacist Linda who knows everyone by name. She’s friendly but professional and her assistant chris is wonderful too. I love that you now carry Tim Horton coffee too. Only grocery chain I’ve seen that has it. All of the employees I’ve met are very nice and helpful. I’ve notice a lot of work going on in the Plano location. Anxious to see the finished product.

I've been shopping here for years and it's just getting progressively worse. Staff is almost impossible to find, the lines are ridiculous and when you do find staff it's hit or miss as to whether they care. On my previous visit there was no one in the bakery another customer had to go find someone to toss a few cakes in a box. Looking for briskets today the butcher seemed rather annoyed that I asked to see if they had more than the sickly looking briskets they had laid out. I asked for steaks to be cut thicker as the one's they had out were paper thin, I got the standard lazy answer "no we don't have any more". Now on top of everything else you have to download their app to access pricing, nowhere is that mentioned on the shelves and the service desk guy was quite rude about it. He then just walked away. The final insult was they tossed $250 worth of meat into the cart and didn't even bother to bag it. ETA: I see they have responded. For the record I called their customer service line, and gave them my contact information. They have failed to reach out to me.

This review is for both the store and bakery dept. First, I was happily pleased with the delightful freshness for a custom made birthday cake. The taste was amazing from this chocolate fruity berry cake with was ordered on a Thursday afternoon and ready for pickup the next day! Kudos to my mom for making the decision to order from our local Tom Thumbs! Thanks for making my birthday a happy one!

Everytime I come into this store I feel I'm being racially profiled without anyone even saying anything, employees watching you or looking at you crazy or not talking you you as nicely as they do the white customers. Today confirmed what I was feeling and I was right they are racist.I personally shop at Tom Thumb and I also work for corner shop, which is a delivery service that Tom Thumb uses, so I'm always in and out of Tom Thumb wether I'm working or just shopping for myself. But today I was working around closing time and I finished checking out and when I got by the entrance, I put my basket to the side and decided to go ahead and take a picture of my receipt, like I always do,especially because it was dark outside and I wanted to get a clear picture. So I pull my basket to the side and proceeded to take the picture, then the one of the MANAGERS, NAMED JAYLON(I could be spelling it wrong but his name was Jaylon), aggressively yelled at me and told me to leave and that he was ready to go home, (keep in mind I had just left the check out area and was just trying to take a picture of my receipt, which would have taken literally 30 seconds), then I started to explain to him what I was doing, but I didn't even have the energy to even reply to him so I stopped mid sentence and continued to enter my receipt into my phone. Then he said " WHAT DID YOU SAY" and I just put my hand up because I wasn't about to argue with him, and then he said "IM GONNA CALL THE POLICE" then I said "what did you say?" Then he repeated it a 2nd time, then I asked him could I speak to a manager and he said "I AM THE MANAGER". Then I decided to go back into the store and ask some employees if there were any other managers on duty, no one was able to help, neither did they want to. But one guy, he told me to call the number on the receipt. I will be contacting the corporation office about this and also the store manager of this location. I won't be shopping here period.
