Needed app. 27' of black steel fence and misc items to complete electric gate project. Dawson did a great job on all of it. Very good work. Doesn't rush the job. Would recommend. Prices on par.

We hired Dawson to restore our rusted iron fence, he wanted half of the payment up front and requested payment by Zelle! His work was subpar from the start, showed up between 12pm-1 to start and would leave by 5pm doing basically nothing and then decided on the 3rd day that he couldn’t complete the project! Beware before hiring Dawson, he will take payment and run!! Sorry excuse for a company, you’re better off using another business!!!!!Horrible people to deal with, if you want the job done and done right, this is not the company to choose!!

We hired Floyd after visiting with multiple fence contractors. Our selection was based off of presentation and a in depth conversation of our past negative experience with small contractors. Floyd was able to generate a sort of CAD design of his plans to build a pipe fence and assured us he would be the change in our history of sub par contractors. Unfortunatly we were drastically let down yet again. We signed a labor contract only for him to construct some 1600' of drill stem pipe fencing for $XX,XXX.XX and to be completed within 4 weeks. Our concerns started to grow exponentially around week 3 when he was only about 20% completed and already asking for more frequent payments. At week 4 we were in trouble as we had promised our tenants the fences would be complete. We had to start prorating our tenants for the inconvenience of not being able to use their paddocks. In hopes to speed things up we reluctantly decided to give in and offer Floyd partial payments (our contract was for a 50/50 payment term, labor only). This is when he started drastically cutting corners. The original plans and contract explained fence post to be 8' apart and 3' in the ground. Most of the posts extended 15'-18' apart and only 1'-2' deep (though some were as close as 5' apart. There was zero consistency in the spacing and it looks like an amateur fence builder slapped it together). However the absolute worst part was the lack of structural integrity of the fence, which was the entire purpose of us reconstructing the fences. The fences are so poorly constructed that some sections sway in the wind. Floyd claimed he needed better equipment to dig the holes properly and he wanted us to pay for it. When we decided to stop future payments after we had already paid 80% of the agreed price, he just quit showing up. We would go weeks without hearing from him. When we would pry he had some excuse about "another job" or "no gas money" and false promises of completion. Here we are 7 months later and the fences still aren't complete and he left this place a mess; he is ignoring our calls and emails completely. We are considering escalating this to legal mater because of his negligence, breach of contract, our loss in income, damages, and the massive liability he has left us with. Lastly he is using our photos without permission to falsely advertise for his business. If he would have simply kept his word (and binding contract) and finished the job, this review would be different. I can not in good faith recommend Floyd, he is very unprofessional and will cost you big money in the long run. We tried one last time to 'help the little guys' in keeping business local and directed toward growing small businesses, but this was just another case of the craigslist woes.
