MOST of the employees are very sweet and helpful, but I find it very distasteful and disrespectful that a few find it funny to sit and make disgusting inappropriate comments to customers and then sit outside and talk trash about said customers within earshot. Show up to work looking like they just got out of bed and have the rudest looks on their faces when customers enter the store. Enjoy your job or find one you will.

BEWARE On vacation in Port Aransas shopped at the Dollar General store on Texas Highway 361 made a purchase cashier said credit card failed and that I had to pay cash. So I paid the cash and finished the purchase. Immediately looked at the receipt and it showed payment by credit card. I showed cashier receipt and she said card failed. Today I look and the purchase went through on my card. I CANT DISPUTE THE CHAGE AS I AM STILL ON VACATION AND NEED MY CARD. DO NOT TRUST THIS STORE THEY WILL SCAM YOU.

This Dollar General sits in a warehouse-like building and it's basically a store that you can find almost anything you need from pet food to laundry detergent and of course those beach necessities. they have 16 doors of frozen items and 17 doors of refrigerated food. Four of those refrigerator doors are dedicated towards cold beer, however, none of it is craft beer. Other things you'll find here include bakeware, greeting cards, lightbulbs, cosmetics, bread, diapers, garden hoses, craft items, candles, shamoo, charcoal, ice, insecticide, wine and soft drinks. Their prices are definitely better than those convenient stores that you find closer to the beach. It's also one of the better merchandised Dollar General's that I've seen. If you're in Port Aransas, this a good place to resupply your needs. The pictures add more to the story.

You have money to remodel but not to provide your employes a functioning place to use the restroom. Broken Toilet, Dangerous light switch, and broken lights above registers for months. But yall got a new self checkout bot since all this broke. Put some money where it matters and make your workers more comfortable instead of working at a slum lord store.3 pics attached

Very nice staff in this Dollar General. A plus also was it is walking distance from the motel where we are staying.We also found inexpensive but good Margarita wine.

It's a Dollar General. Little bit of anything, cheaply made in China, but they need better shoes. This store, specifically, has a badass manager. The employees have pretty much always been kind n courteous, all have been knowledgeable of their store and the local area. Update 3/4/22*** Not the same manager, different atmosphere all together. Every DG I go into, lately, seems like an obstacle course with stock boxes strewn all over, not on shelves and often not priced correctly nor in their respective location. Mind you, that's been, generally, any DG, not this one specifically necessarily
